I grew up in Black Widow country, Inland Empire of SoCal. When I moved to Arkansas I did not see ANY BWs for years.
Just today I killed 3 of the bitches on the north side of my house. Last week 2 on my target straw bales and one on the door frame of my house. Before that 2 on the hedge across the front of the house and one in the Rose of Sharon bushes. Sneaky bitches, some weave a web cocoon and hide in it. I squirt it with bug spray, she comes out for another dose. muerte
The only thing I can figure is the very low population of wasps this year.
There are enough wasps so that I got stung on my right palm Tuesday, bastard. Still slightly swollen and tender.
Any other ideas regarding the population boom?

I had a problem with brown recluse up here. My shop was just infested. I just bug bombed the hell out of it. It seems that all the bugs are going nuts. More little bugs to hunt, the more spiders. Just a guess though. But not worry if you get bit. You'll be able to see a doctor for free, in 4-6 weeks.

things which are free usually cost more than I can afford. Doubly so when it comes from the govmnt.
