This guy's name is Jack Stanko. He owns an assload of these really nice lifted trucks and has made the cover of about a half a dozen off-roading magazines. He has been in JP Magazine, Off-Road Magazine, and now Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road, and probably some others.
This is his 2009 Chevy Colorado.
Engine: 5.3L Chevy Colorado Stock V8
Front Axle: Currie Iron Jock Dana 60, Wilwood brakes, 5.38 gears, ARB Air Locker.
Rear Axle: Currie Iron Jock Dana 60, Wilwood brakes, 5.38 gears, Detroit Locker.
35-spline chromoly axle shafts front & rear. Hydraulic assisted steering. Sway-A-Way 14" travel coilovers w/ Eibach coil springs. Leaf springs and Deaver springs in the rear.
Tires & Wheels: 42x15R17 Pit Bull Rockers on 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels w/ OMF scalloped beadlock rings and rockcrawling domes.
Custom bumpers & rock sliders. 1/2" thick Aluminum skid plates.
This thing is just a beast of a truck.
This is the reason I posted the forum topic about this issue. This truck is just amazing.
What do you guys think about it?

I absolutley love that truck. Just finished reading the newest magazine with it on the cover. I will keep dreaming of something like this and in the mean time I will continue trying to build up my Jeep Cherokee.

Used to take it out into the Canyons in California and up in the Mountains. Designed his own 4 link for it roll cage an winch mounts. Costs a bit, but well worth it if your into it..
You'll have to post some pic's as you build it..

Mine will be a rock crawler when I get done with it. Have the lift for it just waiting til I get a few more parts to put them in. Stretching the rear axle backwards to be able to open the wheelwells up a bit, 6" lift probably 35" tires. in the process of designing a 4 link but might have to start out with leaf sprung due to time and money.

You still in school?
Sorry, wrong guy.
How's A-Town?

Yeah Trevor, I just bought the magazine a few days ago and have been looking at that feature ever since lol. I would love to build one very similar to that !!

had a 6 inch lift and 38 mudders on it. Had to climb a ladder to load up the rack but had to have it because all the new construction was done in back filled swamp over in Brandon. Poeple over there still wonder why it stinks like dead things and cow pies when it rains..
LOL
390 FE Police Interceptor for a motor and a Granny Box, slip it into low and it would crawl through anything...

A town is ok. And you must be thinking the wrong guy because I am not in school, haven't been for a long time and don't plan on ever going back.

Sorry, you do machine work. Right? I got you confused with a kid from Lubbock.
When is it gonna rain?
trevorferguson
I am a machinist. I really hope it rains soon. I also hope we get a lot of it.
