Good job Jacob!
thats some serious shootin
You'll definitely get more kills than those idiots in Columbine.
so my chores are done for the day. I do have a task to do and will probably lose some skin or a fingertip whilst trying to accomplish it.
My scope base mount on my Camp 9 uses 8-40 screws so I ordered some Torx heads by a 1/4" .250 of an inch long. Well now I have to trim off 2 threads from each screw. Bench grinder here I come.
What about a 1/8 shim under the mount? I have a drill press and all, guess I could try that, what think you all?
DONT SHIM IT!just file down the threaded part of the screws.
Think you'r gona have to get rid of a couple of threads, i would try a file first before the bench grinder, thinking it wouldn't mess the threads up as bad.
Sorta says it.

How has everyone been of late.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
You still receiving my emails?
If you don't want them let me know...
I use a lot of the information and send friends and family a lot of it.
Find a nut to thread onto the screw first, then file down to the nut. Helps keep the starter threads in line will be easier to start.
I found an 8-40 die for $39 and change. Pass on that. I will just file away, found my thread file so can clean up the threads.
I'll send ya one, that'll be $12.00 please!
With a screw that small, you won't be able to torque it down enough to ensure the shim won't cause an inconsistent shift during recoil.
I am now just a file clerk!
You need to put that in your little green rectangle!
Sam, now you can put file clerk in your resume
My boy is 4 and he loves shooting alrady too. I think it is great that you are teaching your son about weapons! Keep up the good work dad!
