Congrats Trevor

and thnks for sharing.
Nice addition from what I hear. I've never held one myself but my buddies who have XDs love 'em.

I've shot the XDM

But I have never shot the XD. Know lots of people who have the XD and a few that have the XDM and XD and I have yet to actually hear anything bad about them personally. Guess I'll soon find out.

XD

Keep us posted. My SIL is raving about a "deal" he can get on a XDm but I can't make a call one way or the other.

The original is by far the better of the two. The Original designed HS2000 was/is all around the only one I would actually own. Of course that is personal opinion on my part, but I have shot matches with the HS2000 9mm and it functioned perfectly while also being dead on at all distances. The XD 45 was the same, but when I shot the XDm in 45 and in 40, both Long Slides and Duty they really didn't do much for me in the least. The new grip design really sucks without gloves, the trigger sucked and I guess it plain sucked for me all around.

Trevor, you'll probably love the XD excluding the size of the slide, but it is a shooter.

No sir, he fell into that bullet... Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!

range time

So far I am impressed with it. Took it to the indoor range today. 200 rounds ran through it and not a single problem. Trigger is a bit different than what I am used to but it didn't take long to get comfortable with it.

I bought one just a month or so ago. I liked the 5" tactical so much, I figured why not give it a little brother to keep it company! Shoots great, gobbles up the ammo, no problems with mine. I think I have a couple hundred down the pipe so far...
