Just what that under powered .223/5.56 can do

This was the result of an accidental shooting for a distance of around 15 feet. The upper legs bones shattered from the massive pressures built up at entry, not from being struck by the bullet.

That was from 55 gr M193 ball ammo from a 20" bbl Philippine police M16A1. It was not accidental from what I've read. Its hard to tell on the web, but I've seen these pics many times and there is always a different story with them. I first came across them on a Philippine police forum where the officers were discussing the incident. Supposedly it was a public intox that got out of control...

I've read it was two Police who were getting into or out of a jeep, one evidently had his finger on the trigger with a round cambered and no safety...
