Kel Tec SUB2000 Carbine-9mm

Kel Tec SUB2000 Carbine-9mm

I shot one of these the other day.I can get one that uses CZ 75 magazines that will match my carry guns.Anyone else played with these folder guns?I can get the Kel Tec and a Hi Point Carbine for $250 dollars or I might trade a original forged steel Chevy 327 crank for both. Both guns have 3 mags a piece.I dont give a shit about the Hi Point but it might be a good home defense gun for my daughter(11 Years old).Any thoughts guys?

it shot

just fine at 50 yards.with my fucked eyes and the peep sights i put 15 rounds in a 2 inch circle.these guns can be bought to match common handgun mags.Glock,Beretta,CZ,etc.just google kel Tec to see what ones are available.it really is a neat gun.I want one to keep in the center console of my suburban.I already have the AK in a military rifle holder attached to the dash but i want a hideaway gun.and well hell,it is income tax refund time too but i can trade an engine part for these two guns so why the hell not?i aint building any engines any time soon...

the trigger guard is the latch handle.I checked out the one i fired and even though it was very well used the pivot point was tighter than a ticks ass and the latch had to be pushed closed to lock it,indicating that there wasnt any wear in the mechanism. When i locked it open i pulled and pushed and tried real damn hard to get it to fold up.it didnt!and if anyone could get the latch to fail,i am the man for the job. These guns are very well engineered and built for being partial plastic and steel.

bullet nose damage

i was curious about that myself so i colored the noses of 10 cartridges, loaded them in a mag and ran them thru the gun by working the op rod.no damage to them at all just the normal scratches from the feed ramp and the mag.I doubted it so i tried it with a handful of lead round nose ammo i had.no damage!

I checked

into both these as well and i think the kel-tec looks good and i like the idea of using the same magazines but for what purpose would this kel tec have? in my opinion it's a range gun/emergency vehical weapon,i don't quite know where it fits, same for the hipoint,is it an old style hipoint or the new style? that's probably more of a knock around gun i'd think, but for the price i would do it,car part for two guns, yep

i tried being reasonable,i didn't like it, NRA LIFE MEMBER,USMC VETERAN

Go for both of them

If you can get both for the 327 crank, you're not out any cash, and are home free. You've thought it out about what you'll use them for. I'd encourage you to go for the deal.

shoot it awhile then get back to us on how it's holding up. I've been looking at these and the new Hi Point for awhile now. I liked that I can Use Glock Mags in it, just wasn't sure about the folding option. Remember, an engine block thats not in a car is just a boat anchor!

what the hell you wont be out any money and you can always trade/sell them if they don't work out. Like shakleford said the crank is just a boat anchor with out a car.
