Very close to the Perfect Pistol.
if I was able to spend the cash, this is the 1911 i would buy.of course then i would have to work my magic on it with a few special parts and some gunsmithing to smooth it up.even though it is basicaly a custom pistol it is still a factory piece and it will be in need of some fine tuning.ok,i dont like the finish either.i would either drop it in my parkerizing tank or put my matte blue finish on it.probably do the matte blue unless the slide gap is a bit loose which is possible on a new gun then the parkerizing would help in tightening it up.hen i would have to true up any mags that came with it on a mag jig.a mag jig is a solid piece of steel that is milled to the exact contour of the mag feed lips.you remove the spring and follower and install the jig then hammer form the feed lips until they are just right...
I have to agree with greasy, I've been doing a lot of research on Kimber, they seem to be the real deal. The posts I've seen from the owners say they are real happy with them. This year coming up I'm hoping to add a 1911 and and AR, which, with the help of HK, I plan to build myself. The my base collection will be complete. 12 ga, SW Mod 59 9mm, Sig Sauer P229, Ruger 10/22, and anything else i can get my hands on in the mean time!
im thinking of getting a SW 99 IN A 40.....WHAT DO YA THINK
Made by Walther, and depending on price, I'd say yes. Saw several on www.gunbroker.com starting at 300.00 highest was 475.00
There is one im looking at for 375.00...i went to the range on Friday and my boss showed up with the Sigma.....what a piece of shit!!!lolol...the gun too.....its like a plastic toy and the trigger pull sucked...
I agree not a good gun, If you go to www.bnet.com and type in SW99 there is a good article.
