My brother with his Beretta .40cal (service gun)

From Beretta:

Model: 92FS, not sure

He shot about 100 rounds on this day and I shot his gun a few times as well. The pistol is a bit big for my grip and I feel like I am stretching a bit to reach the trigger, but it was still pretty accurate. I am more accustomed to shooting my glock or other glocks, but it was pretty easy to get comfortable with the Beretta. I wouldn't buy one, but overall it was a decent gun. This is the weapon used by the police force in my home town...probably could use an upgrade, but then again maybe is happy with their handguns.

I'm glad to hear that someone else is not comfortable with a Beretta 92 (or 96, or whatever). I'm not either. The grip feels like a 2x4 to me. The guns are quite excellent mechanically (they're Berettas after all), but I don't want to own one. After the magazine situation got straightened out they established a great service record.

Sure its the same as the Taurus copy that i have shot.. I say that with out really knowing so correct me if wrong ..assume its the same as Taurus copy of Smiths in that dead on duplicate.

At any rate i agree with Jack, and Bob here the grip just doesn't work well for me, and i have pretty large hands (clumsy things as i age) hard time getting comfortable gloves..

I have never found a grip on an auto that works as well as the Browning for me it's just right.. and that's on both 35 9MM (first choice for "grip") and 1911..

on revolvers its simple.. Hogue makes the most comfortable replacement grips.. which of course S&W copies on some models.. seems round butt K (or J) frames with that grip just seems like i made a grip out of a clay mold to fit my hand..

Wow... look at us talking about guns... we got a F'n fever or what.. Lyle.....oh Lyle...

Did you guys happen to read CW's or dubya as pard calls him, comments on the OK tornadoes.. Dubya say Ol Lyles out with his shootie shooting at the tornadoes.. hit me like Runs comments about the gal with "shot gun Hamp blast".... doable... laughing...

Vaq you and Grease both have pms on my email.. screwed up as usual... later my brothers.. got to spend quality time with Gloria...
