Letter to Republicans in Congress
In 2012, the voters of America gave the Republicans the majority in the House of Representatives of the United States.
In 2014, the voters of America gave the Republicans the majority in the Senate of the United States.
We Americans voted for Republicans, for they promised to overturn the noxious, country-killing programs of the current president and his minions. The illegal law of Obamacare, open borders, trashing our allies and supporting our enemies, ruining education with Common Core, racist support of thugs and criminals over police and the law, the list is endless. We wanted the fight taken to the communists and Muslim sympathizers, and we voted that way.
What good has all of our work done us? We contributed money for 'conservative' candidates, we made calls, went to rallies, beat the bushes for the people who promised to put an end to the destruction of our country. We won those elections, and we got the conservative candidates in the offices in Washington, D.C.
And what did they do, right off the bat? Reinstate the loathsome cave-in John Boehner as speaker of the House, and the equally loathsome, capitulating Mitch McConnell as the majority leader of the Senate. Business as usual; no change in direction with the same blowhards calling the shots.
Boehner's one act of courage was to invite a real man and tremendous leader, Bibi Netanyahu, to speak to Congress on March 3. My great hope was that this noble spokesman for Western civilization would inspire those weak-willed people in Congress to stand up for our countries and our people before it is too late.
The Congress people clapped and cheered for this good man, then the House leadership rolled over and played dead — again — when it came time to vote for a bill that will further decimate the safety and the treasury of the United States.
I am at my wit's end with these Republicans who remind me so much of my dogs when they want attention: they roll on their backs and put their feet in the air. Obama and his minions run roughshod over our laws as stated in the Constitution, they destroy our excellent health care system, they open the borders to every kind of thug and terrorist in the world. And what do the Republicans, the majority party in the House and Senate do to correct these problems?
On Obamacare, they say "Oh, this is now the law of the land, so we must obey." As I recall from studying history, slavery was once the law of the land, prohibition was the law of the land, the right to vote was for men only, etc. These laws were changed, because, unlike the Ten Commandments, they were not carved in stone.
What I want to know is this: What can we do to make these elected people understand that we are sick beyond reason with the communist/Muslim administration in power and we are equally disgusted with those we elected to change things? If anyone has any concrete ideas, I would be delighted to hear them, for as I said before, I am at my wit's end.
