the ME262, with the wings swept back only 18.5 degrees. front attachment is radar/radio antennas. These things had very slow acceleration, no afterburners. They had a flight time of only 60 - 90 miutes. They also made a 2 seater for night time radar flights.
ryo knew there was bomber version of ME 262 and this was on order from hitler and it slow down production of the Swallow by 18 month and if the nazi could have introduce this plane that much earlier in war it would have make significant difference. did not know that a two seat version was make at all, but remember now there was night fighter version. thank you for information very much!
dear mike san, hai this is the first operational jet and even though it hard to see in these picture, and the line of the wing is broken on each side by engine nacelle the wing was indeed swept. the Heinkel Blitz had standard straight wing if recall correct and also both the British and American prototype jets also had straight wing. ryo need to check this to make sure, but already am pretty sure.
for maintenance work. configuration of radar antennae for standard Nazi night fighter not look that. interesting to note also that chromium was very rare in germany during war and so could not line combustion chamber and pressure turbine with this material, so these Jumo engines were only good for 10 hour of flight time before need replacement. also if look closely can see little ring where one cable is thread through on fuselage. also if look at nose of other picture in serie, these are not shown. however black part of device could be radar although this not look like the normal radar antennae of usual Nazi night fighter.
I admit I don't know what that is. It's the first picture of that set up I've ever seen. I will have to do some research as well. Thank you.
ps wikipedia seems to have a lot of details, I'm reading right now

What is the device on the front of the plane on the bottom right? looks like some sort of antenna, or the beginning of radar maybe?

samD san confirm that is most likely a night fighter version and that device is indeed radar/radio antenna.
