This is probably the info you're looking for. The cartridge was made primarily for (and still is) lever action rifles by Marlin. T/C made the barrels for a while and I picked up a couple. EABCO,EA Brown still makes the barrels. The Thompson Center Rifles & Pistols with their various barrels I have owned, have all been accurate. Not a bad barrel in the bunch.
T/C .444 Marlin barrel rate of twist 1 in 20.
The Corbon Ammo is made specifically for the 18 1/2' barrel
Corbon 280 GR. BCSP 2200 FPS/ 3009 FTLBS
I also have a 24" barrel which would provides a bit more oomph.
Hornady with 22' barrel 265 gr
Velocity (fps) / Energy (ft-lbs)
Muzzle 100 yd 200 yd 300 yd
2325/3180, 1971/2285, 1652/1606, 1380/1120
Trajectory (inches)
Muzzle 100 yd 200 yd 300 yd
-1.7, 3.0, -1.4, -18.6

hai hai this was the information ryo wanted to know, except am not sure about the action of this rifle. is it a semi automatic or what type ka and if so what type of operation mechanism does it use. it very unusual color too neh. don't see that kind of blue very often, and it look very close to the IWI blue that is use on many of their Tavor bullpup rifles. ryo also like the Burris scope. each member of ryo family own at least one Burris scope.

Your friend alway,

PS you better be taking proper care of your foot and follow doctor orders neh.

This T/C is single action. meant for in brush, very quick, one shot option. Recoil is stout but manageable. I would not make it my all day bench rest gun.

it's a .444 caliber neh. so that mean it will have a strong kick to it neh. would the length of the barrel make little or considerable difference in the recoil to this weapon ka

I have fired both of the barrels I have with substantially different ammunition. The most recoil was from the longer barrel however it is not ported. The most entertaining is from the 18 1/2 " barrel. Some time in the future I want to shoot it at dusk and have that filmed. I haven't put any rounds through the timing screens yet. I'm also anxious to do that.
With the new Hornady round, 265grs., it is a legitimate 250 yard rifle to hunt deer with.

The .444 Marlin was developed by Marlin. WIKI has an accurate development of the cartridge and its use. I've only had my .444Marlin barrels for a few months had have not had a chance to hunt with them. I have had T/C rigs in rifles and pistols for some years. It an adventure, we'll see how they work.

No, I am currently using manufactured ammunition. I am not using a lever action rifle where some of the crimp problem could occur. The single action with changeable barrels will allow me to do some interesting things (ie much heavier bullets) if I take a liking to the cartridge. Gotta go for now.
