What was the

conversation. I never saw the original post. Didn't even know we had diarrhea of the mouth here. (except of course stiletto aye) .....yup scratch that huh? The one I found was one of those Czechoslovakia copies made around the 60's of the 1860/3 Colts. I just don't know yet if the one I got (for $6) shoots or is just a prop right now. Either way it was a good deal.

Gonna go quietly into

the kitchen and not try to wake the girlfriend/best friend on the couch (she talks in her sleep and it is real cute.......right now she is laughing about something) and then I'll get the guitar out and bring it back here in my room and see what I can do about some good pics.

Runaways's videos he has posted and you will see what he was talking about when he said to choke up with the support hand.He is a very well trained member of the US miltary so his shooting advice is solid and is something you may be able to learn from.

I can't/won't use that language with him. He is a smart guy here and I respect him no matter what. Plus he gets off some of the best guffaws around, just follow his logic on several posts for a while. I suspect he mentions move your right hand up just a tad bit more with lifting your wrist so it is more 'flatter' (it would make your first knuckle 'point forward' a little more and it would 'drop' your trigger finger on the best part to lay across the trigger when actually firing. Some people have simplified this and call it shooting limp wristed and it is nearly the same as shooting limp elbowed(but that is a bit different(these things matter most when you are shooting Polymer Guns))). and your left hand down and 'cupped' a bit for more support (eventually) of your right hand and the weight of that arm and the shooting piece you'd be using (though this is plastic but it would be a noticeable improvement if you were holding solid steel).

Good job, Nice solid tips for our young Geezer gun nut in training. Well done. & you are absolutely right. When I got my P345 there were a bunch of changes I had to make transitioning from my first love the 1911.

Thanks Larry, I just

get slow sometimes thinking I might/do bring any wisdom that isn't already here. So I try not to talk actually, just read and enjoy the site. I've been here a year, but, so much on and off that I haven't even seen all that is on the site yet. The some-timers(someday I recon will be all-the-timers for me) is torturous to deal with. I forget some key points sometimes and the name of things. I do hate most the losing of ones vocabulary. I had an Uncle who was both a Dr and a Lawyer and Bronze Star, seems they say it skips a generation, so I don't like to run the chance of typing mixed up sounding stuff or typing something that a more authoritative person has said better or before. Just sayin'

The missing work thing.. Understand guy, the last thing you want to do as a new employee is miss work.. If i can give you some "grey haired" advise i'd let the supervisor know ASAP that you were seen in the ER.. That stops any "smut drama" as we used to call it..All will be fine with work, get well buddy..

The BDA is certainly excellent quality. However, it's large. There are 9mm's out there now that are smaller, and obviously more effective.
What will you use it for? If for concealed carry, there are lots of better choices. If it's because you recognize the quality, and want it for the pure enjoyment of shooting it, then I believe that I would get it, were it me.
Why do you want a Victory Model? Also, is it chambered in .38 Spec, or the original .38 S&W? If it's in .38 S&W, I can see buying it as a historically significant firearm. If it's in .38 Spec, its function can be duplicated by the cheapest Model 10 you can find.

How ya doing Mr,Bob? OK I hope. I just like the BDA, Like I said, to me it just oozes class & it is top of the line quality wise. Yes the Victory is 38, Old guy just up & offered it?? BUT, this is the same gentleman that I recently bought an old used & abused Colt Army from ( Think I have a pic up of it) Then he begged me non stop to sell it back to him, so I did?????? So, the girl friend of my sister wants $900.00 for the BDA, I actually choked in front of her, Her son ( another know it all)
told her it will sell at 9, I told her that son was nuts, I have seen them , super condition starting at $350 usually 4 to 450. So unless she does what I told her & goes for an appraisal at a reputable shop, we are NOT gonna have another BDA. Oh well, cash is sort of tight right now & our gu money jay is pretty short so I will wait.

The only way that BDA is worth $900 is if it's a new-in-the box, unfired, Centennial model, with the engraving and gold inlay. Otherwise, it's worth the $350 that you said, if it's in good shape.
The old lady's son is an asshole. What's he doing, going through her house with a recording calculator, totalling up her assets, waiting for her to die?

The big problem that I see is, when he says jump, momma says how high??? Very sad, she seems like a super nice lady.

Damn shame, but it happens time and time again.

You know, whenever I went home (to my mother's), she was always so glad to hear about what I'd done at work, what I'd accomplished. She was glad that I was using whatever talent and abilities I had, and trying to do well. Always made me feel good.
She and my dad were both hard workers all their lives, and had invested their money well, so that she still had plenty of savings when she died at 91.
I hope to be able to be the same way, so I can leave something for my daughters. I help them now whenever they need it, but I want to have something for them after I'm gone also.

Yep, I know what your talking about Bob, My folks were the same way, & my mom is the same way today at 92. I just cant figure it, but I have an aunt, my moms baby sister, that is the same way as my sisters friend. My nephew runs the show. I told her, I can be there in a little over 4 hours on the big silver bird, so anytime it gets to bad, or she decides to put a stop to it, just call. He wont give me any crap, I guarantee it....

The Protime test for the blood thinners in my system. How thin or thick my blood is.
For Pulmonary Embolisms, they want my numbers between 2.0 & 3.0.
2.0 being the thickest & 3.0 being the thinnest, to help prevent any more clots.
Yesterday was my second weekly test & I was at 2.0
