LOS ANGELES TIMES AND DENVER POST EDITORS SO OUT OF TOUCH: ARIZONA’S LAW AGAINST ILLEGALS

BY Frosty Wooldridge

Re: “A hostile Arizona” republished by DP, 4/23/10 from Los Angeles Times

Beyond astounding in a state with in-excess of four million illegal aliens wreaking havoc on their schools, hospitals and overwhelming prisons—not to mention drug trafficking, stolen vehicles, drunk driving, uninsured motorists, millions working under the table without paying taxes and monumental tax fraud—California’s Los Angeles Times wrote a negative commentary against the new Arizona law SB 1070 that targets illegal aliens working and living within Arizona. All the while, California suffers a $20 billion debt. They pay out over $10.2 billion annually for services for all illegals and their children. (Source: www.fairus.org)

Even more incomprehensible, Denver Post editors agreed with the editorial by republishing it in their newspaper. Never mind that people like Arizona rancher Rob Krentz suffered an execution two weeks ago at the hands of an illegal alien. Never mind last year that Phoenix Police Officer Nick Erfle got his head shot off by an illegal during a traffic stop. Or Dallas Police Officer Brian Jackson suffered execution at the hands of an illegal during another traffic stop. Or, for that matter, our own Denver Officer Don Young executed by Garcia Gomez—stopped three times and allowed to go free because of Mayor Hickenlooper’s “Sanctuary Policy”. Or, two Denver women and one three year old child suffered death at the hands of an illegal alien. Denver Police arrested Francis Hernandez 19 times and let him go because of Mayor John Hickenlooper’s “Sanctuary Policy” that allows illegal aliens immunity from deportation. Today, Hernandez sits in a Colorado prison for the next 60 years at our expense. The list grows! That’s how Coloradans Justin Goodman and Dale Englerth suffered death—because our elected Colorado officials refuse to enforce laws.

WINK, WINK, LOOK AWAY!

Is this a child’s game? Hide and forget? No, our elected officials across the board refuse to address the fact that employers, landlords, mayors and even the governor protect illegal aliens from our laws.

Colorado Governor Ritter refuses to step up to address the incredible fraud on multiple levels in Colorado. The Denver Post won’t expose employers or landlords, but hundreds of thousands lie, cheat and steal as they work illegally in Colorado. And, their employers stand just as guilty. Yet, Colorado taxpayers forfeit $1.2 billion annually paying for illegals in their schools, hospitals and prisons. (Source: www.cairco.org)

In Arizona, it’s SO bad, citizens fear for their lives. In the Phoenix area, alien criminal gangs steal 57,000 cars annually for their people and drug smuggling. (Source: AZ DMV) A litany of violence continues against Arizona citizens by 460,000 illegal aliens that shouldn’t be living and working in that state---caused lawmakers to enact SB 1070. Drive by shootings, drug trafficking, sex trade, fraud, ID theft, rapes, stolen vehicles and a host of lawlessness forced Arizona to take action.

I personally interviewed Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce two days before Governor Jan Brewer signed SB 1070 into law. Pearce said, “States have the inherent right to enforce laws against illegal aliens. Arizona will set the pace. No more weak-kneed politicians. We will no longer be a sanctuary state and we will not allow sanctuary cities. We make no apologies. We are a nation of laws. We hope other states follow suit.”

Thankfully, attorney Chris Kobach, made the law bullet proof. It matches federal immigration laws.

“We will lead the charge to defend the Constitution,” said Pearce. “We will let law enforcement do its job.”

Today, instead of the Denver Post leading the investigations of the destruction of the decorated ICE agent Cory Voorhis---to get to the truth as to why Governor Ritter’s staff ripped Voorhis life apart with lies and deception—instead, www.khow.com talk show host Peter Boyles single-handily brought the facts out about the scandal. Stephanie Villafuerte, Kevin Dryer, Tony Bruco and Ritter found themselves so deeply imbedded in the scandal that Ritter dropped out of the race and Villafuerte dropped her bid to become a federal attorney for Colorado. The truth has yet to be exposed!

But the Denver Post sank into a corner. That cannot be the reputation of a standup newspaper. The Denver Post should and must serve the people. Instead, it hides, it cowers, and it abrogates its responsibilities.

It takes national columnists like Michelle Malkin to expose the scandal, “Looks like the stonewall that the Dems and DOJ built for her (Stephanie Villafuerte) has collapsed under the weight of local and state pressure — compounded by tough questions from the Denver Post’s Karen Crummy and GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions and constant pounding by KHOW talk show host Peter Boyles.”

As the post republished, “The solution is not for Arizona to criminalize illegal immigration, which has been regarded as a civil violation….We urge Governor Jan Brewer not to let these measures become law.”

Today, SB 1070 stands as law as Brewer signed it on Friday. The Denver Post editors might take a hint that we Coloradans sicken at the ongoing violence against our citizens, the fraud at the highest levels as exposed by Peter Boyles and the outrageous cost to our citizens for 400,000 to 500,000 illegal aliens living and working in our state.

How about serving the citizens of Colorado, Denver Post?!

If any of us, no matter what our race, creed or color might be, refuse to engage our U.S. Congress as we have not for 30 years as to the population/immigration equation—our children will find themselves living in a terribly degraded America where the American Dream will be described by the history books as a ‘fleeting fantasy’ from the era of 1950 to 2010.

Wish the other states would follow suit and start craking down on these illegals. Hell with what would be saved on health care, welfare, and housing the criminal ellement we could damn near pay for obamacare.
