This is perfect... Weather that silhouettes the Elks.. a bull and his cows.. Looks like a youngster. but must be a tough guy, he's got his gals all rounded up..

Greg,
It is more like the spike is a yearling and still following the lead cow for protection. After the 2nd or third year, the bulls go off on their own. He is still a "teenager" and seeks protection from the herd. At least that is what my limited experience of hunting the Wapiti have taught me...
