that blade looks seriously heavy duty. But the handle appears uncomfortable.

Yeah, handle looks terribly uncomfortable, but that blade looks like it will do any job you need it to.

Surprisingly, but handle is verry comfortable, especialy with glowes. I was use that peace more than 30 years in woods with highly success.

Yes. Bought at Trieste, Italy, manny years ago for 80.000 italian liras. Cca 40 €, but worth every cent. Used at hunt for manny years, stil god and sharp for any kind of work.
