How can anyone truly like or even understand a service member or vet if they have never served. Only we know what its like to take the oath. To put our life on the line for others. I can't really get behind a president who hasn't served.
By the way, he only wants to withdraw so he has access to more funds for his agenda. If we are not funding a war, that leaves him with more cash to throw at failing "green" companies. He sees all this war stuff as extracurricular activity that is costing his agenda too much cash. He would rather fund the health care debacle.

Fighting a war and providing for vets are not the same thing. He could be fighting 10 wars and still not provide help to homeless vets. This problem has to do with what we are willing to do for those that come back from those wars. He knows that most of us don't like him, so he doesn't try hard.
The point is, everything military for potus is a monetary obstacle for him. Whether it be active duty or homeless vets. He is trying to turn the USA into a third world country, make all of us dependent on the government so he and his kind can control the cash flow.

I happen to agree with you, but do you get a warm and fuzzy feeling about Mit? Our slow decline has been with going with the lesser of evils and not the best. The best of our society will not put themselves out there if they think that they are just going to get torn apart. And Ron Paul is not better. He would have us out of the middle east and just stay out of everything. Not really what a superpower does. We need leaders that serve out of duty and not the achievement of power and glory. We've been looking for the philosopher king since Plato's Republic. Until we stop allowing ourselves to be swayed by sound bites, we will never be rid of the opportunistic career politician.

Coppertop, it's impossible for someone as liberal minded as POTUS to understand. Everything he spews out of his mouth is written by someone else.
