We learned to shoot with milk caps nailed to trees in the door yard of my Grandparents house up in Maine on the Canadian Border when I was young. Ever year there would be a couple of trees that would make a cracking sound and just fall over so it got to the point my Gram made us hike out to the Blue Berry fields and shoot them out there.
These where not skinny trees by any means. But I guess 4 or 5 thousand 22 lr and 22 Magnums work almost as well as Beaver Teeth...
That's the best kind of shootin'. Just plinking. That's why I like the kids Ruger 22/45
