Me and the Thanksgiving Buck

Bit fuzzy. I have a crap phone, and trying to take a pic of me w/ the buck was a pain.

Will you be getting him mounted? I mostly do it now because my wife hates it.

BTW, this was great, Max. I'm at that stage in my marriage too.

Thanks, Jay. I appreciate it. Here in Texas, when you get a hunting license, it comes with a bunch of tags already. there's a buck tag. 2 buck or doe tags, 2 doe or spike buck tags, 3 rio grande turkey, 1 rio or eastern turkey, a buck or doe mulie, a buck mulie, and even a red drum fish tag. All for about $65. Really like it here in Texas.

I'm not getting it mounted. I'd need a place to put it that the wife wouldn't pull it down from and throw it away. I mostly hunt for the meat, really.

boy oh boy am i envious of the tag situation you have over there.i have to buy the license think 50$ upland game stamp 30$ or so (allows me to hunt small birds etc) buck tag 40-50$ bear tag 40-50$ and its still worth it ,but man id rather just buy one 65$ package instead.again, nice buck bro.

If I told you what I have to pay in Jersey for Bow and Shotgun Hunting you would not believe me. I know I would have mounted that buck, given a second look. It is Buck season in Jersey starting Monday, I can't wait, I am off from work all week and will be hunting every day.
