Lucky i remember now you said you had ridden with them when i was talking about having to drop out when i joined the Dept.
Nice scoot, i've never had a soft tail, my back needed the full travel of a standard glide. I had always ridden sportys before the back forced me to move up to a superglide in 88. I had two of them, the last, and the only one i really modified (except for pipes of course)was in 93, by 99 I had to move to an electraglide, got a good deal on a used police bike that turned into a money pit, but a good bike that i didn't have to get off of every 20 min. Obvioulsy couldn't do the ape hangers, but man they look good, as does the whole bike.
The motor company has always been quiet about hp. but if you figue the the old 74 was putting out 65 hp, the first shovel 80 made 70, and i remember the 84 evo was supposed to have kept the same hp. even with all the improvments. Guessing you were past 60 stock. Whats cam brother, Crane, or screaming eagle? Guessing by the air cleaner its a screaming eagle carb right.. I always had the same high sisy bar, just so much better for the wife. Speaking of which, i'm gettn all excited, have to take one of them blue pills and wake her.. Be back in bout 5..
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
This is my 4th Harley,8th bike overall. This has a woods cam, rejetted stock carb with Arlen ness big sucker air cleaner on it.Vance and Hynes exhaust, upgraded ignition and spark plugs, etc.I think my numbers are close to right,it runs about 69hp stock and i have put about 15 more hp with the mods,so about 80-85 hp..I never dynod it but it sounds great and purrs going down the road at 70 mph,LOL
i tried being reasonable,i didn't like it,

I thought i had read your modified hp as 60 last night.. tired i guess, i had vance and hines on the ex police FLH, didn't change anything on that intake system as it was one of the fuel injected models, mixed feelings on that Lucky. It always ran well, but i was afraid i couldnt fix it if it failed so was always half worried on long rides. Anyway good looking scoot.

Sam's way of "weaving" members into jokes is pretty cool huh... Promise ya he's sitting down south of me with a shit eating grin waiting for Lucky to open the biker story..

I spend a lot of my down time here at work looking at pictures and vid's. I havn't looked at sam's specifically but I will, even though a good majority of the random pic's are his anyway.

40 is a little cold for a ride, I'd carry when it was cold too, if I thought someone was gonna steal my leathers!
