And I mean that in the most manly of ways. I lost my pic's in the first divorce. All my pics of my time in the Bahamas and even my baby book. Took me 10years to get it back.
this pic was taken about six months before I discharged in 1991. The jayhawks were brand new birds, just brought into service to replace the aging HH3F 'pelican' as the USCG's medium range chopper...........At least you got yours back, my ex turned into a homeless addict so everything she took with her pictures etc disappeared, probably in a land fill somewhere.
I still don't have my Bahama pics or my family videos(tranferred from ?mm to vhs years ago). She claims she doesn't have them... Cheers to you for being a good dad. I missed a lot of time with my son because of her. hard to forget and forgive. She finally admitted to being a CAB - Crazy Ass Bitch. Have a great relationship with him now so that makes it easier.
I was having a discussion about Sikorsky the other day and I knew he was Russian but the company was American. Hard to defend without a computer. I did not know that they were owed by UTC which is also the parent of Carrier a direct competitor to the McQuay line of chillers, HVAC units... that my company reps.
A day late but thank you for your service, Coast Guard is often overlooked. Never forgotten here though in Grand Haven, Michigan..known as Coast Guard City USA.
than never buck. Yes the USCG is often overlooked but as a service has the most responsibilities, border patrol, law enforcement, search and rescue, among others, normally working under DHS, but in times of conflict we fall under the dept. of the Navy. Coast Guard units have had a lot of involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, just not widely publicized. Wrenching on aircraft ain't as sexy as being a Marine Force Recon Sniper but hey! someone's got to keep the birds in the air.....LOL
Thank you for your service HamsterW, I mean that sincerly.
But, your looks hasnt improved with age lol
this post.......traderjac, I know you served in Vietnam and for that I am grateful.......You have my respect!!!!!
So roughly 1990-91. I was just a baby. Great post pal.
in 91 I was a freshman in high school! LOL
