We had a VERY nice visit with St.JMB and his really fine family. Thanks again St. JMB for the hospitality !!
Really am impressed, no "age" jokes from the peanut gallery.. "sorta" know how to put something in file then attach it to the "create" part of forum topics.. Don't know how to get the perfect (yeah it is) picture to start with tho..
As our bud Saint hasn't shown yet can we assume you didn't leave them tied up, and take off with the silverware.. Did ya get his guns to.. actually do have this great mental image of saint and his wife all tied up in this bare home.. Lou and wife driving away with maniacal smiles on their faces..
betting that saint had an equally rewarding time.. well done sir.. Glad to see the headlights still work.. Embarrassing but gospel story, we drove home after dark recently while in the process of finding a home, we had forgoten what Gloria's instrument panel looked like..we were all uhhs and ahhs till the reality of this set in (it's a 2006 Impala) and we realized how lame it was..
in my pocket but St's son caught me trying to get out the door with them :<))
Have you and G set a move-in date yet?
Always wise to wait till the summer before scheduling work in PHX.
Scurry around outside trying to find some kind of manuel labor to just keep warm LOL!!
That's such a nice looking place, I hope to come see you'uns some day.
From the heart.. .. Serious here, i really would like that Lou.. Actually i am a bit on the sentimental side right now, we just finished watching "Mrs. Miniver" on TCM... I defy anyone to watch this movie dry eyed. sorta the war bond version of "old yeller"
let me throw this at you.. A bit of car stuff (mecam does their big winter auction in PHX) followed by margaritas, cheese crisps, and memorys of south china sea duty.. If a couple old sailors can't get in BIG trouble with respective spouses with this somethings wrong. ha ha..
This can be sub titled "padre's past indiscretions" or " we we're foolish once and young" either way pretty sure you guys will enjoy this . bub took his R&R with me in Manila.. This was our first time together as adults, Gary was close to 7 years older than me..I was 12 when he enlisted, and we only saw each other a couple of times between his leaving home and this R&R.. He always said he did this feeling obligated..Describes stepping off the plane to be met by a guy he didn't recognize who asked him if he wanted to "hook up" with a bar girl before or after he got something to eat..
We pretty well destroyed Manila.. We started with hi end girls at some swank hotel in Manila, and three days later by the time we got back to Cavite we both looked (and smelled) worse than any previous (albeit low to start) standards.. Some brief highlights of this were rolling off the hood of a 55-56 caddy limo and the subsequent fight with the taxi driver, this was one of three total as best i can recall.. Being in a Filipino marriage (served as best man) of my buddy Joe Delile, and a PI girl.. I came close to destroying this ceremony when i put the shaw (kneeling behind Joe, the bridesmaid put the shaw that covered both their shoulders over the bride, so i did Joes).. Priest stoped the ceremony (HOT!)..Joe of course didn't know and was helping me..lol.. Our jeepnie (were the only round eyes in it) being busted in an off limits area by very much FOR REAL PC's who were carrying Thompson's, and fired off a few rounds just to get our "attention" (they had it) .. As Daisy and any old PI hand can tell you going short time in any bar is so common its just foolish to masturbate, (yeah i know TMI..lol) just telling you guys that when it's cheap, and easy, your sorta foolish to go to an area thats off limits.. we were foolish
justice so I'll let your post speak for me. Yeah, a few fist fights...
Greg, DC, how are you gents this evening? You both had me rolling. Sorry I hadn't been on earlier, but it's been a busy weekend. I did have a great visit with Lew and his wife. I wish we both had more time to shoot the shit more and then maybe shoot some rounds off.
Maybe another time. Lew, next time you can swing by here, remind me to show you my grandpa's winchester 69. It's nothing special, but I think you can appreciate some of its qualities.
Thanks, we enjoyed our short visit very much. As it was we still got home later than I'd wanted to. I would have liked to pop off a few rounds with you, NOT USING my $108 Saturday Night Special though! LOL It's a throw-away. If it were to get lost in a car wreck or if police decided to hold it for awhile I would not be too very worried, it's not my "J Frame" :<)
Next time I'd like to see Grandpa's Mod69, those are fine rifles. To me it would have made sense for Winchester to keep making them but I'm not one of their "bean counters"
