Damn!

I am tremendously impressed by your 1911 collection.
Can you give us an identification of each one, from top to bottom?

Greg

I'm still trying to figure Lyle out, I have a hard time understanding some of his post, probably because I'm new here.

I havent had the chance to try it out yet but I'm sayin the kel-tech pf9 cause of its size and still 7 +1 capacity. here's the specs pasted from their website.

Weight unloaded: 12.7 oz. 360g
Loaded magazine: 2.8 oz. 81g
Length: 5.85" 149mm
Height: 4.3" 109mm
Width: .88" 22mm
Barrel Length: 3.1" 80mm
Capacity: 7 + 1

Nothing is as risky as certain failure.

the $377.00 MSRP for the parkerized one is appealing to me as well.

a good choice

would be the STI LS9, it is thin and not to heavy, Springfield makes a nice 9, I think its the EMP.
a good second option for size and weight would be some of the newer 380's, the only downside is thier capacity is usually 6+1, but with the right ammo they can get the job done.
I give it some more thought and add it in a follow on post.

Not tryin to start an

Not tryin to start an arguement but the LS9 is bigger and heavier both of wich should be considered when pocket carrying as the larger gun may be more difficult to draw. The more I look at 1911's the more I want one, your collection has be drooling.

Kahr PM9

Does anyone have experience with one? They're quite expensive, but they're very small, simple to operate (DAO), very slim, and rather light in weight.
I've been very tempted to have my FFL guy order me one, and just damn the expense. That's a pretty tough "damn", though.

Pocket 9, my opinion:

Pocket 9, my opinion: probably for a pocket gun 9mm, the Kahr PM9. It don't have the stats with me right now, so forgive me, I'll go googling later, but as far as what I've held in my hands, it's been the smallest 9mm i've ever held. IIt truly fits in your pocket. I can hardly grip the thing. The EMP is a bit bigger and very sweet, but it's price is about 1200 dollars around here.

Watch hamp's pf-9 review vid, the guy compares the pm-9 and the pf-9 a little bit. His daily carry weapon was the kahr pm-9, loast time I checked he has switched to the kel-tech for his daily carry. He is a LEO and has spent some time in the military as well so I trust his opinion.
