"There is a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time has now come." --Peter Muhlenberg, from a Lutheran sermon read at Woodstock, Virginia, 1776
When i got this car it was white and red. I kinda went over board with the black spray paint and bumber stickers. But I love this car. I bought it for $200. It had a rod peckin' i fixed it and only thing it needs is a radio.
Any one care to donate on since its Christmas?

I think it's cool....I'd just like to shoot it up if you were planning a funeral sevice for it....I figure that is the best way to send a car out. You know? I have to say I'm impressed that you have so many miles on it....then again that's what you get when you buy American, I have an F-150 with 257,000 on it can't kill it! haha
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses
I have raced it against a caviler Z24 i beat it BAD!!! My beretta is a 2.0 and the caviler had a 3.1 MPFI. Like you said its hard to bring an american down. Have you evr owned a beretta.

No but I do own a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix currently which is my every day driver and it's quickly approaching 100,000 and still fast as hell.....The Z24's are nice I've driven a few over the years....I have raced my car a bunch of times haha I love beating the bag out of all hose little ricers haha they all think they're something big and bad until they meet up with American Steel!

I hsve been building and racing cars for over 50 years. Your Beretta weighs 2765 pounds and with 120 bhp at the flywheel max ET in the 1/4 mile is 17.47 +/- 2%. That is the HP rating of a new Beretta 2.2 ltr. I would say it would be lucky to break 17.50's. So the clocks were probably wrong.... or you transposed some numbers. I think 17.55 sounds more reasonable.
To move your 3300 lb. Camaro to a 10.5019 in the 1/4 mile you would need 658 BHP at the flywheel. That is a $15,000 item to build. You might want your local drag strip to check their clocks.

i concur with your numbers!my 82 toyota pickup with the 2.4 liter(i bought a well put together circle track mini truck motor)this thing has massive head work and cam, forged dome pistons, and a balanced rotating assembly, and runs a 500 cfm holley 2 barrel.(junked the low rider it was in,kept the motor).now, this motor was never dino'd but a stock 22R puts out 123 hosepower(do the math)and the best i ever ran my truck was 17.2 in the 1/4 mile.now mind you it would boil the hides well past the 160 foot mark with 9 inch wide slicks on the locked up rear(toyota rearends are tough).so i know that a gasmiser 4 holer beretta aint that quick!shit,my dads mazda rx7(1989)ran low 18 quarters and these cars are quick!

Yeah I got a Gtech a while ago and it put me at like 14.3 for a 1/4 mile not bad for a completely stock car....how's the Camaro? I have to say I am very jealous....Let's see a pick/video of that! haha

So my super genius friend we don't worry. We just need to get the mass moving in a hurry. In my youth I had a B/F Dragster, 60% Alchol & 40% NitroMethane for fuel. 1272 lbs ready to run. Used to run 8.3 seconds and 180 mph. 1/4 mile standing start. What a rush.

If you wait for the tree to turn green, you have already lost. I have spent hours on the practice tree on my computer and at 65 yrs old, still have excellent reaction times. Very rarely ever get hole shot.
