Whats the wait on them in Hellinois? 6 months? Why not do yourself a favor and move north to Wis or East to indiana?

The rifle is a project that I mentioned about a week ago. It was flooded and sat in a damp garage the bolt is rusted open no pitting in the barrel that I could see so far.

missed that post. get yourself 4 or 5 cans of PB Blaster and soak it for a week, that will free it up, that stuff works good.

Aerokroil works

just about as good as PB Blaster in my opinion. But I can rarely find it anywhere around where I live. Have to have a store order it.

I stock it at work and I get it for $2.74 a can, can't beat that with a stick!

Then i would do

the same thing. I use Aerokroil a lot because one of the surplus type stores here carries it from time to time and I can get a case of 12 for 15 bucks. Any other time PB Blaster is used. In fact I have a .410 snake charmer, that I found sticking out of a field a couple years back, soaking in PB right now. Been soaking for a week now and the single shot still won't break open. But suprisingly there was very little rust on it when I found it. Mainly surface rust, but the handle, hammer, and a few internals are not in it. Going to give it another week or so and if it doesn't open up then I'll get a little bit tougher with it.

You may have to hit it

with some heat, that usually works as a last resort.

The Musket

Not to much info on the musket so far all I have on it so far is that it was made by Firearms International Group Washington, DC. It is non operational for now but after the 22 this will be the next project, awe hell sounds like I got the project gun sickness....

Well the .22

Project is history, yours truly mad a bad situation worse and the gunsmith I took it said it would cost what the gun is worth so, I found a JC Higgins .22 along with my BHs xdm for 650. So I can live with it.
