Chevy made a 302

for the Z/28 and the Rally Sport's. These motors were put in to conform to the rules set up for Trans Am racing. They also had 2 speed tranny's in them as well. Real fast!!!

Some of the 67 - 69 z28 had a destroked 327 which is a Chevy 302. It is a bad ass muther !

especally if you hopped it up a little. But the 305 in my ole 85 chevy 4x4 would not pull a greasy string out a cat's ass

Man you are right...

My 4 cyl. Pinto from 1976 could keep up with one of those. They were nutless and gutless. I had an El Camino of that same era. That truck had no balls at all. That is what we get when the democrats start regulating the auto industry. Carter was the one that set all of that into motion. CAFE standards suck. It took many years to undo what happened in the 1970's.

307 chevy

this small block was a 3.875 bore block with the 3.25 inch stroke 327 crank.put a decent set of heads on a 307 and they run real good too.also you can put a large journal 307 crank in a 350 block and you have a 327.i can do this all day!

well...

a boat anchor!no seriously,they aint worth hopping up but you can make them run a bit better.an edelbrock performer intake and a pair of headers and dual exhaust really will help the restricted engine breath better.if it has a carburetor on it replace the quadrajet/rochester with an edelbrock which is a carter.they are easy to tune.i dont like holleys cause you have to always fuck with them.if the engine is fuel injected a computer performance chip will help as well.

came with a 327, but the dude who owned it before me put a 396 in it.I was averaging a ticket every two weeks or so. Had to sell it.i was 18 and stupid.man do i miss that beast!!She was Maroon with a black interior.

this engine series ran from 1955 to 1986 before any changes were made
