"WAR IS A RACKET, I spent most of my time being a high-class muscle-man for Big Business, for Wall Street, and for the Bankers." Major-General Smedley Darlington Butler USMC Ret. 2 time Medal of Honor winner.
Not to much difference in the 66 & 67 mostly trim pieces.
I have an LT1, T-10 Warner Close Ratio, 9" Ford narrowed rear with trick A-Arms off of one of Dale Jarretts super speedway cars. 4 wheel disc brakes, shorter spindles on the front, After market tubular front A Frames, DEI, Inc rear springs and adjustable buckets on rear, with a big NASCAR rear Track Bar.
Aluminum coil overs on the front. Just takes $$$$$$. I hurt my back 1.5 years ago so it is just sitting now. have all the parts just need to get it done.
it is a slow project with my son and dad.i put together a real nice 283 with aluminum world products heads and roller cam for it.my dad put together the turbo 400 with a 2500 stall converter.with the 3.90 10 bolt posi out of a 69 GTO it should be fun to drive.i like the 283 because they like to rev.
I had the guy that builds the steering boxes for most of the NASCAR teams build one for me, quick ratio with a Med to Heavy feel to it. New adjustable computer for the EFI. I can tune it from a laptop.
like alot of thought went into your parts and design of suspension.some day i will build something on this scale.with my years of building roundy rounders,i have been in the thick of it.
I put a pontiac 400 Big Block. Got the car for $500 with no motor or trans. Now its got a Trans AM Motor and 4 speed Trans. Only thing it needs now is Bumbers and Tail light assembly. Sorry to say it would SMOKE an El Camino.
You guys are driving me up the wall with this "car talk" I don't know shit from shinola about this, except when I was young, long before Nazereth became a major track, I got to take a stock car around the Nazareth dirt track, and I was hooked. But alas, I never really learned anything about the technical stuff. I do know that most cars have three---er, I mean four wheels/tires, however.

i have been droolin over this car for awhile. you are a lucky guy. my cousin came home from nam and bought a beautiful camaro (i don't remember the year as i was but a lad) great car for a couple months. he totaled it.
They don't make cars like they used to... The 1960's producted the best cars in my humble honest opinion, and now while comfort and crazy amounts of add ons are plentifull... They are all just cheap plastic and too many wires.
