More than enough

Anything more than 1 flake is too much.

We're supposed to get more of that lousy white crap tonight. If this global warming don't let up soon we'll all freeze to death

It's cold, but I think we're not supposed to get any more snow for a week. We have 5-6" on the ground, but the roads are all mostly clear (mostly!). I fucking hate snow & cold. What the hell, I can't stop it so I live with it.
I spent most of yesterday at the hospital. My own fault. I'm insulin dependent diabetic & I screwed up my morning shots, injecting about 7 times too much fast acting insulin. I knew I was going to have to monitor myself very often & keep eating sugars, but sometime after 3 PM I passed out from an insulin reaction (very low blood sugar) & fell in the floor. The dog found me & started barking, woke up my wife, who called 911. They took me to the hospital & it took several hours to get me somewhat straightened out. When they got to the house my blood sugar was 18 mg/dL, which is almost dead. They started an IV, so by the time I got to the hospital I kind of knew where I was. Didn't sleep worth a damn (maybe 4 hours total), & felt like shit all day today. My sugar level's pretty well straightened out now. All this from a guy who passes himself off a reasonably intelligent. Maybe it's good to be humbled ever so often! It's pretty humbling to realize that your own carelessness damn near killed you.

Thanks

Yeah, it was pretty close. Scared the hell out of my wife. She kept blaming herself. She's had a really bad cold/flu, & got so tired that she fell asleep sometime before I had the insulin reaction. She kept saying that it was her fault; she should have stayed awake & kept an eye on me. I told her that I was the one who did the wrong shot, not her, so nothing at all was her fault, but she was raised to take responsibility & always has. I'm really lucky to have her.
