My boy (at the war museum)

My boy (at the war museum)

On Rememberance day (canadian veterans day) I brought my son to the War Museum to get to learn and chat with some Vets.

As a souvenir, he chose a model of a Supermarine Spitfire. As he turned around to show me what he chose, an Air force WW2 Vet told him, "Son, you chose the worlds most famous fighter plane" I know this is really not a big thing, but to see my 4½ year old eyes look at the stranger in total admiration (also some shyness) was amazing.

They are 15 and 16 now, but I can blink my eyes and remember them when they were the age of your boy. That's a very fine thing you did for your son. I hope he remembers that day for the rest of his life. You sir are obviously a very fine father. He's a sturdy and fine looking boy too. Not a bad salute either for a 4 and 1/2 year old. This really brings back memories to me of when my boys were this young. Whatever it is that you're doing raising this fine looking young man? Keep on doing it. You're on the right track.

Koji

PS Please make sure you point this out to my boys who if you don't know them yet are LittleDragon and Send it Boi. My boys can learn something from this and I'd be grateful to you.

thanks

Thanks for your nice comments on my boy. I try my best to get him interested in all things military, that being said, he is a bit young for war movies, but we go to military parades, memorials, and drill demonstration.

IronKoji, sent you a PM
