Never heard of that one before. Who makes it? It's .22LR right?

James- That is a German SG5S, from Gunzstuff, and is short for German Sport Guns. Small Co. out of Germany and concentrate on only a few tatical high velocity guns and Ammo. I picked this model and their 22lr ammo because it is like clockwork, and you can even buy the powders that mix and put in anything and and red dot it, and this gun and ammo will have the velocity of bigger rounds that will explode the powder mixture. If you really want to have some fun, get the smallest mixture and harmless even when you mix, and red dot a bottle or milk jugs, put them out there in a field and when you hit the dot right it has the Velocity to blow it up. Coolest thing and experience shooting ever. I have 3- 23 rd clips and I bought a lot of accesories, but the best is the simple clip clamp and two clips are joined and put one in gun and when empty just move other one over. I still like it as the best for survival w/ open sites. Shoots straight and fast and has the velocity. Just go to GUNZSTUFF site. and look around and even talk to them, they are cool.

It's a MP5 clone. The GSG won't create higher velocities than any other .22LR rifle with a comparable barrel length and twist. What kind of ammo are you using?

Well I guess we and a few others disagree with that, especially a couple of long gun boys. But I have made mistakes in the past, but this isn't one of them. I used Federal 50grain hollow points and some old Hornady 40 grain. Both set off the powder charges, when two guys I was with and a friend of one used a wimchester and same ammo as me and no blast, but hole in red dot that should have lit them up if the bullett mattered or grain of powder. Just like the M16 and ak-47's were doing all day. What else can I say. ? John

To make it clear, I never take anything seriously enough on this site to get angry and you seem to be a good guy. This is my online play ground.

I was just stating two facts above:
1. The GSG 5 is a clone of the HK MP5 in .22LR. I'm not taking anything away from your rifle or saying anything negative about it, just stating a fact. I've never fired an ATI GSG 5.

2. Unless the barrel is long throated or has something else crazy going on, which I doubt... two different kinds of rifles with the same bbl length and rifling shooting the same ammo will have very similar velocities. That’s why I was curious about what ammo you're using. That’s all.

Is it picky about ammo like a lot of .22's, or will it bang anything like ebear?

I know that about anger or picking on stuff, I did not mean to sound that way either, sorry. But I only have been shooting what I said so far because I have so much. But I have a couple of 50ct boxes of 38gr remington from ten tears ago, I found today in back of Gun cabinet. They were like 3.99 for a 250 pack of 5 50ct boxes and I will try them. That powder mixture was popping them with the SG5 though and not a winchester in the 55 year range with open sites. but maybe it isn't velocity that sets them off, and just the right shot point. I don't know really, because it was the second time I shot at the mixture in gallon jugs, and know the formula, but it is cool when you hit it right. But never think I am giving anybody a hard time, Please. This site is great and especially for a guy like me. Thanks John

i have shot

the GSG and its a fun one, just a bit picky on ammo but that could be because it was being broke in to,i don't think we shot over 200-300 rounds that day.We had about 5 different brands of .22 ammo.

Breech

On the SGS5, On the left side of gun is a cocking and load mechanizin, in which you can pull back and load the same Breech where the clip loads on the right and back like all guns, this one is a second on the front up by the nose and operates both of them. Maybe this is why it has the power or whatever you call it ti pop the mixture of explosive powder. I really do not know, but the german guy keepd telling me that is one reason for the power and accuracy of the gun. Not to brag, but I swear I was popping tthem at 125 yards with the other guys and ak.s ar15's etc. But a open sighted and I did not use scope on mine either, but the winchester would not make it explode and I put the bullett in the red spot for times, then took the SGS5 and first shot explodes it. There has to be a reason, and Reap knows a lot, but what gives. any ideas? John

I went to their site and there's a notice:

Quote:
A letter from the BATFE was received: It has been determined that this shroud is regulated under the National Firearms Act.

What a bunch of pricks. A barrel shroud is regulated? What's next? Vent ribs? Flash suppressors? Muzzle brakes? How much longer before we, the people, get fed up with this shit.

ST James-- I do not know why ? But is it a german thing or worldwide, or just USA. I have some friends that are still in the upper echalon of our Gov. I would be glad to see if I can get what you want, and how much etc. I have never asked my friends to do anything like that for me, but these are guys and a couple of wives that husbands have passed away , but they still are active FBI. It sucks and I feel the way you do and did not know that untill just now. I have a , lets just say better than average higher clearance, than the average Joe, with a ccr or whatever, from my past. Even though I am Disabled, I still have some good days and like helping with the pigfest deal in texas. When certain blood brothers ask for help, I will always answer. I will help anybody that is a good guy like you on this site as in my Bio. States. I still believe in " a man is only as good as his word " A few friends of mine live by that, and prove it, when the call for the pigs came. I did take a while to recooperate though this time around. But we are all dropping like flys, I guess that is part of getting old right. Why am I so long winded on this site ? I guess you guys make me feel comfortable. But tell me what you need and give me a week. I will do my best. But I agree with what you are saying, what is next! That show on discovery, where the retired marine builds guns, and daughter runs business. One of my friends called him and had a trigger system made for a automatic weapon. Cannot say anymore. But he did it and for 95.00 and mailed it to him, no questions asked. Of course I will deny it. You can go around sometimes when head on throws you a curve. favorite Oxymoron John

James- I just went on there site and signed in with my account, Got some whip who was last man out, and asked about barrell shroud, and some other stuff and says, No problem Mr Campbell, just put in order and in the morning we will mail you what you want, or overnight it. I said not a problem with shroud or some other high place things that are rightfully so, but have my own account. Maybe that is it, I do not know, but tell me and if you like the price or site, I will do my best for you James, I promise. But did not get a responce about regulation or anything. By the way, is that Raquel Welch's Daughter in those 2 pics. Not that it matters, but that floats my boat. Yea I know Randy only wants redheads, but I know why? I PREFER redheads. But I like just about all of them. Hair color is not their fault. Unfortunately, I have yet to meet a (real) redhead that I can get along with for very long. As I said, I do prefer redheads, but I will deal with a brunette, brownette, or blonde, just as long as I am able to talk them into giving what I want. LOL.

Agreement is a landslide for us, especially on this subject. What is bothering me is I drooled all over her mother. But I guess I haven't died yet, I married my childhood sweetheart, and the girl next door to me, one in the same, But brunette beauty and just has a littls gray to highlight it now. Bur she could still rival Rachels daughter even now. I am the luckiest man in the world from where I sit. But I still have to look, once in a while. John

I was just teasing you brother, I am trying not to get down about my long time friend and his time has come. But I talked to him last night and he just wants the final four, me being one to have it and others that each of us had shown interest in. I asked about his wife and there is no lying or make up crap with us. He says his wife and him are real good in money dept. He knew I would not just take it if he passed and left it to me. So I have to figure out how to come up with money and then when it is over ship it back to his wife. She answered and I asked her too. Then I talked to the other 3 guys and same thing. His wife says he will you and buds expect that and wants it to be a legal sale as not to give it back. She also said he is leaving a big insurance policy for her, and will not accept it back. She said it will make his last weeks and days a lot better if we just buy them and act normally. Life is a Bitch and Vaq is so right about getting old! But the woman thing was a joke that is all. It is like Vaq says, you better not be a pussy to grow old. You watch and watch if you are lucky people you admire and love and good people just wither away. I know you are from Texas, But when Bush signed that Vet Bill stating if you are not treated for something for ten years, then they do not have to start treatment ! Lets face it, you go to the DR. when something is wrong ? Right. I just do not understand why this country still equates the 60's and early 70's for servicemen as a blemish on our country, I now not all, like you and the guys, I hope anyway. You were ready and yes I know there was a draft still in place and then the lottery draft, etc. But you still have some guys left from korea and other hot spots. But when you feel the orange spray all over you and watch the plants melt right in front of you, and you are out of breath to begin with, so you breathe harder and c/o says pick up the pace. You now what I mean ! Sp-ops, was a suicide mission every time. I guess I am just dissapointed again. But people feel more for Haiti and Japan and give aid and money etc. But turn down our people that put there life on the line for their country. I am really pissed at panhandlers posing as Nam vets at 35years old. That sheds some more great disaster feelings towards that era of men and women. See- I just go off on stuff still yet, it does not change anything ever, so why do I even talk about it right ? JOHN-Sorry from the bottom of my heart for your friend and all the rest.

It's simple really once your look at them in the right light.

It would mean they would have to swallow the fact that they were wrong. Pride, Ego, Righteousness and the personality which does not allow them to accept their complacency in the Generational Rape of the Nations youth.

Those same people that spit, threw chicken blood, shit, piss and names are the ones who ended up being a part of the Establishment cheering on grand children and great grand children going to be maimed. kill and die in Iraq twice and Afghanistan once so far. The wildest part of it is the same ones playing Stratigo with our troops in Vietnam are the same ones that did it all over again in Iraq and Afghanistan. Except this time around they picked the one place on the playing board that everyone fails to control for long...

Besides, Vietnam is our trading buddy and vacation land these days you know. I have no ill will towards the nation of Vietnam or it's people. But damn, if I won the lottery I would buy an Island and declare WAR on the USA and sue for WAR reparations.

Anyone remember Chris Mathews going around before the War's in the middle east, to all the College Campuses and asking every group that was sitting in the audience "Who supports going to War?" all those kids screaming and clapping and yelling YES!

Then he asked "Whos is going down to the recruiters in the morning and signing up and requesting action in the middle east?" Not one of those freaking kids made a sound..

It hasn't changed much really if you think about it. Excluding the fact that this time they are not spitting, screaming, calling names, throwing shit and piss or having to dodge a draft...

I kinda like the thought that *everyone* should have to do time in military service to obtain *full citizen status* with all the benefits that the dregs of society claims as a birth right...

mmm, not that I have any opinions on this or thought about it much over the years....

Thankyou for the backup with facts instead of Bullshit. You actually have a knack to opinon and a way to describe the purpose of a statement that anybody can make, whenever. I have read all you write and you are a modern day Philospher, and should put your God Given talent in a Book. The country, and all the weather and wars, and japan etc. You could decifer for the mass idiots to wake up with. Another stupid thing-- Wife likes to play poker on line with a bunch of women on some site and Gab and all that women stuff, a lot from different countries. Last night she calls me in and says look what this lady, and I use the term loosely, that we let in the game just said to all of us. She plays with 2 that have their husbands in Afghanistan now, mind you. Her statement was and she is from canada, and another woman cut in to back her up from England. She said and quote,- you fing americans are so spoiled you deserved to be woken up at 911 and what makes you people think you can help other countries by killing the people that live there, unquote. Then english lady says , I agree with you softys in America always whining about one thing or another. All my wifes friends and her told them to f-off and reported conversation to webmaster on site and he barred them for ten years. But this is what Canadians and English think of us? I am pissed off now John D. John-But thankyou anyway

That statement would piss alot of people off. They were probably just trolls trying to get a rise out of the other women. You can't assume that a whole country thinks a certain way just because of what one ignorant person says. Who knows, maybe she deserves to be woken up by tripping and knocking her fucking teeth out on a curb... it always comes back around.

Those females probably couldn't pour piss out of a boot with the directions on the bottom of the heal...

It's in vogue to crap upon Americans for some, hell even so called Americans do it.

By their reasoning the British people deserve every IRA bomb that has gone off in their country. Or every future Terrorist attack, because they haven't even begun with them yet. As of 2001 there were 1,536,015 living in England alone. That was 10 years ago and I am sure the census finds that it is much higher today. So out of all those people how many are just waiting to be told it is time to prepare to meet Alla.

The 2006 census showed 800,000 living in Canada...

Karma, Is, a Bitch

At what point will it be that the self righteous twats run into her, who knows. I hope they never do but I do know if they happen to. It isn't because they deserve it...

Those were two sad individuals...

that in 1973 when the last US troops pulled out of Nam,the war was in control,it is then that the South Vietnamese army collapsed under pressure from the regular NV army coming down, exactly what General Giap said he would do if the US left.Everybody in the military knew the South Vietnamese would fold enmasse.Afghanistan is the same but at least the people of the United States are behind the troops, not like Nam.

That *is* the only difference....

For the most part people do support the troops. Though for some I am sure it is nothing more than lip service good for a vote or sale...

Why we fund people to do absolutely nothing in their lives beyond breeding for a raise in Government handouts and can not at least match the same for our Troops who have served in combat for this country is beyond my grasp.

I still say if we put boots on the ground anywhere other than American soil it should involve a Contract of payment....

Now there is a good thought, mercenaries, an entire countrys force. Kick ass and get paid by the country. But now we kick ass and only the rich get the oil or diamonds or richer, that is what bothered me most about those women and Nam, we were spit on and accused of killing babies, not waging war aginst our enemys. Yet the first thing I spotted was a tiger in the tank gas station and a coke machine on every corner in main town, and standard oil was there too. John

Jerry- I have to admit, I did kick some ass on getting back, and then out, everytime I & friends would especially get a beer and sandwhich, in a place I actually grew up in. There was always somebody that had something to drink and had to say something about our sp-ops tatoos. One time I was standing at the bar waiting for my beer and this guy keeps staring at me and then arm, then me constantly. So I turned around and Bitch-slapped him about three times, and asked if he wanted to continue. He started crying like a baby and I said what are you staring at me for? crying he says because I never saw a baby killer before. I hit him once and down he went and three teeth were stuck in my knuckles. The owner of tavern I knew all my life said, John stop and leave while I sweep out the trash. That was it, but it happened again and same results everytime, with all size guys. They were used to saying anything they wanted and peacefully talking or yelling it out. I was used to killing and fucking you up ! John

I sure would have loved watching. Though I probably would have had a hard time not joining in.

Seems like to many ran/run around thinking they can say or do what they like with impunity because "you'll go to jail". Funny thing is thats an acceptable option most of the time when dealing with their ilk.

You would think that people would understand that you get what you seek some times and when you run into someone who really doesn't care it is probably going to be a bit more than what they were looking for.

No sir, he fell into that bullet... Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!

Sorry for the language to the ladies, But the real thing was the hippies and dodgers ( draft ) and rich bastards, did not realise that when you fly back from a war, and then go home and finish out term in a base if you are lucky, near your home. It was only a bunch of hours ago that all you did was kill and cut throats for real. That is what you were trained to do. Then a bunch of hours go buy and you are greeted by assholes with comments like that. They did not have a clue how lucky they were not to be killed on the spot, instead of Bitchslapped or punched. If a brit or even south vietnamese, or any other nationalty while you were just there hours really before, said anything you did not like, you had a choice of how to kill them and take an ear for your belt. That is how out of touch these people were, yet thought they knew it all. I have a million stories, but what is the point really, it is always going to be that way, like I said on the post you quoted me on. When my Dad walked into a bar during and after ww2, there was always somebody there to wish him well and never had to pay for a then nickle draft beer. One time he and two friends walked into a bar by the philly naval yard, and a guy walked up and put a sack of nickles on the bar and said NONE of our boys coming or going buy beer or whatever they want in this Bar. Drink the bag dry boys on me and the good folks from philly. PHILADELPHIA, PA of course. But unfortunately not that way anymore,or at least after Korea. Sad. But thanks for the responce John and others. John
