my first IWB attempt

my first IWB attempt

This is the first time I made a leather IWB for myself, I can hide a full sized SP-01 with 19 in the mag and one in the chamber in this...

Yes I am not a big guy, but I've made a few for friends who are twice to three times my size, left hand and right hand, along with removable straps and belt slots cut into the tabs for OWB carry also...

That one is hand sewn

Hell most of them are that I do, I've a Singer Patcher 49-58k made in 1935 setup but I like heaver thread than it can take. I traded a RAMI 40 that I had done a action and trigger job on. So I will probably sell the Singer and get a Tipman Boss... I know there are others that can much do more than the Boss but, I kind like having more control than you get with an Electric. I also find that hand sewing relaxes me, just go into automatic mode and forget everything. One of the things I've been considering is taking a bunch of leather out to the VA and seeing if any of the guy/girls that have disabilities might like to learn Holster making. Also make Chaps, Saddle Bags, Vests, Biker gear and such... Hell if they wanted to cover Harley Seats there is a big business in it. But first I have to get my shit setup and myself established...

my Singer Patcher Sewing Machine for making Holsters, yet to be used....

How much would one of those cost? I'm just curious. Also, are you able to make holsters for Sig 2022, and S&W Sigmas?

2022 and SIGMA

I can barrow a Sigma for molding, but not sure about a 2022.... I am slowly putting together all the different blue guns used for holster making.

I m still kicking around what pricing will be, I want to keep it in a range that allows me to make some money while not pricing it out of range of what people are wanting to spend. Sounds silly I know, but it is an iffy thing....

I have allot going on right now from another direction and once that is over all my time will be spent between holster making and the range so I should have a selection put together soon...

That's cool,

and I understand what you are saying. Leather, especially a quality leather that will last is NOT cheap. I have done some leather crafting in the past but currently don't have any leather on hand. If I did, I would make a couple of them for some co-workers.

BTW, where do you find the "blue" guns for the molding? I have seen them in classes used for training but have never seen one for sale.
