He came to America in 1619 to Jamestown. He was killed by Indians in 1644. His name was Dr. John Woodson. The rifle is now in the Virginia State Historical Museum.
Sad story, but true of the times. You think we can get raparations for you and your family from Pres Hussein as it was a Racist event?
but those Mayflower losers are Johnny-come-latelys to America as far as I'm concerned. 1620? Hah! WE were here FIRST. Oh, yeah, Jesse James is my fifth cousin.
nice rifle, its nice to see something that was a part of the glorious past.
Dammit, I just spent five minutes writing a deal about how we're almost related but not quite and you don't accept private messages. Oh well. Long story short, my grandmother is a Hite who are relatives to the James family but because my (X) 3 great grandmother was unfaithful (D.N.A. says so) we just get the name and nothing more except maybe an interesting historical foot note.
I appreciate your story about your American heritage, I enjoy true American history. Thats a great rifle too.
