I got carried away and when I had a hard time finding a 73-70 fender I just took the entire front clip from a 1987 and put it on... Then teh fun began when I realized I had to weld in nuts and notch the cab to take the hood stabilizer hinges and rewire for the replacement wiper motor from the newer truck because I had to switch the entire wiper assy to work with the little vent area under the windshield between the hood and shield...

I finally got the thing together and the electronic fuel pump went out, the battery died and then the tank selector switch went out.

Once this was fixed I thought... Ok, now I am done... Then 2 u-joints went bad, the brakes went out in traffic when a line broke and I'm sure I am forgetting more...

The good news is that it runs nice now adn I have had no further issues other than the previous owner hooked up the brakes lines backwards so the rear brakes were receiving about 70% of the pressure and the front the remaining 30% which makes braking a little wild...

Hard to believe it is the same truck now, right?

Now I almost never use it and wonder why I put all that money into something I don't need or really even use...

If any of you people in the north want a rust free beautiful 3/4 ton 4x4 with 454 and 6" lift this is the unit for you!

I am going to let it go for $7500 cash or trade for guns or towards Toy hauler....

Good looking truck, how many miles do the motor and transmission have on them?

Well, with all 1977 vehicles the actual mileage is little more than a myth since it cannot be proven nor dis-proven... From my guess the truck has 120K on it, and who knows what is original or not at this point. I have done a lot to make it a great truck, but too many kids and a wife just are not fitting in this single cab now...
