It can shoot, 38, 38+P, 357, I have to admit, I will not be using the 357's, at least not at the range.
Did you get the crimson trace grips? Agree on the .357, no need for that at the range
Did not get the model with the laser, they had them at the shop, I find them distracting anyway. When I carry, it will be with the 357 in it, for sure. My brother carries one when he is off duty, during the summer it is hard to conceal carry. I found that you can drop it in the side pocket of cargo shorts, and you can't tell it is a gun.
Makes a great product. Every Ruger I have had worked great and was accurate. Nice piece
Between this Ruger and the S&W Bodyguard. What settled it for me was the laser that came factory mounted(Insight Technologies Laser). That and the price was better on the S&W, with the 125+p 38 caliber, I don't feel too under gunned( for a guy carrying 5 rounds that is).
I have been to the range twice now with it,shooting the +p and I am very happy with how it handles. But reloads are not fast. I am using HKS speed loaders and the cylinder swings out just enough to line up the loader and get the bullets in, just barely gets the job done.
I just renewed my CCP and qualified using this S&W Bodyguard, no worries.
Capt. I love the Rugers! That one is still on my list of guns I want, just because of the 357/38 capabilities. And the Ruger quality/ service
I agree about the 38+P round. The gun is for close range, and will do a lot of damage. You will have 5 bullets and in all reality, only need one or maybe two at the most.
