My oft-mentioned Mauser

My oft-mentioned Mauser

This is my oft-mentioned Mauser. I believe it was sporterized at some point post-WWII. You have to admit that regardless, she's a beaut-- before I got her, she was stored in a leather sheath in an attic for ten years. I wiped her off, cleaned her up, lubricated her, and she worked just fine. An incredibly well-made, tough piece of hardware, and the bane of hogs in the neighboring counties.

Great looking rifle

7x57 is a fine caliber, too. Works on anything up to the big bears in North America.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).

take it thats a sporterized 1919 argentine Mauser right..

Yep, good looking rifle (oft mentioned that it is) and were all pretty happy with the floor as well, ok for real, do you have a pic of the Ruger you can throw down on the bathroom tile maybe..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.

Nope, Spanish

Haha well it's a Spanish Mauser (has Oviedo markings), and the Ruger's just a standard black GP-100, rosewood grips, .357 magnum.
