This is my oft-mentioned Mauser. I believe it was sporterized at some point post-WWII. You have to admit that regardless, she's a beaut-- before I got her, she was stored in a leather sheath in an attic for ten years. I wiped her off, cleaned her up, lubricated her, and she worked just fine. An incredibly well-made, tough piece of hardware, and the bane of hogs in the neighboring counties.

7x57 is a fine caliber, too. Works on anything up to the big bears in North America.

Yep, good looking rifle (oft mentioned that it is) and were all pretty happy with the floor as well, ok for real, do you have a pic of the Ruger you can throw down on the bathroom tile maybe..

Haha well it's a Spanish Mauser (has Oviedo markings), and the Ruger's just a standard black GP-100, rosewood grips, .357 magnum.
