My Ruger, needs optics still, grrr

Need to Optics and then I'll see about a review...

Also, I know the grip pod is too close to the magwell, just tossed it on for the picture, moving it in front of the rail cover, I'm also getting the light rail attachment for it for my TRL-1s and the pressure switch. I did order the UBR stock for it.

Putting an AAC Flash Hider Suppressor Mount on it also, though the Mini14 style Flash Hide works very well for what it is.

looks good, yea the first thing I noticed was how close the foregrip was to the magwell. How do you like the extended bolt stop doohickey? I was looking at those aswell as an enlarged charging handle, the battle versions.

BAD Lever

Actually it speeds up mag changes enough to notice and it also makes it easier to lock back the bolt when cold range is called.

Vltor or the BCM #3 and #4 are sweet, though I'm thinking the #3 I am also considering an Ambi catch release.

very nice

I have a TLR-1S on one of mine w/o pressure switch. I have it right in front of my vfg so my thumb is in the right place. It works out pretty good. I think the UBR will be nice on that rig. Did that bad lever come on it? Did you ever figure out which optic you're going with?

I just got done installing a SAA-E and S3G. You need three hands to get those holes lined up for the pins. They feel really nice. I can't wait to try them out. I have threw a ST-T2 buffer in my bushy lower, so now I have them in both my ARs. I really like those.

Optic

I have decided on Aimpoint and a x3, putting some cash back now. Putting in a Jarad 1.5 adjustable trigger also.

GuysLee (Geissele) triggers are sweet and I was going to go with one also, POF uses them as their standard trigger. I'm used to them from shooting Felix's, but I was shooting one of Billy's LMT's with the Jarad and it was really nice and half the cost, so.

I've also shot a few long range DPMS's with worked National Match triggers, but, eh....

Have the Rifle Basix SAV-2 set at 12 oz. I'm so used to light triggers even with my pistols. Though the 226 is lighter than factory it is the heaviest trigger out of the lot.

I polished up the internals and put a 15 lb main spring in it that I cut down from a CZ main spring. No light primer strikes with it like this so far after 500 rounds. I don't shoot it very often, though I carry it always. The grip is so close to the CZ I would have to have a serious brain fart to not hit where I want the round to go. lol

After I finish setting up the Ruger, I'm going to build a DI Shorty. It's weird but here in the Tampa Bay area rifles and parts cost much less than pistol and not 100 miles south east it is the reverse. Not sure what they are like out there in AZ, but I can come up with a DI AR for about $500.00 with scope, mags, bag, sling and possibly light. I think it is because there are so many people down here with money to burn, or at least they think they have money to burn.

I was going to pick up a 98 Mauser ($85) and trick it out for hunting but I was having too much fun with the guns I already had and did not do it.
Oh well, I don't hunt and sporterized, they aren't worth shiite for comp. Hard to speed reload using a stripper with a scope in the way.
