Well jumped into the AR Pool finally.
Though I guess many are against Piston Driven AR's I found one at a price I could not pass up. So that's what I went with, though I can pick up a POF for $1750 new from a Dealer I'm friends with, I had another friend get me into an SR556 full pakage for $1300.
Now to get the Nikon M223, high rings and another canted mount for the front sight to match the back sight. I like the function of the canted backup sights and being Troy flip ups keeps them down and out of the way. Going to put in the Trijicon's on the Troy's soon also.
Thinking about a Grip/Pod and UBR stock.

nice pick up. looks good. UBR will be nice on that rig. If I ever get a DMR/SPR type AR, I will be looking into the UBR

I'm going to pick up a gen 1, Sig 556 SWAT with folding metal stock for $1000.00 from Tiny down the road for run and gun. Probably put a Aimpoint on that and a 3x magnifier with the same setup for backup sights.
I've got a thing for the Sig 556 after shooting my friends 551 flipped to rock n roll.
I remember my issue M16 back in 79 and there is no comparison to todays rifles...

going to leave it black for a while. In time I will probably draw up some graphics and air brush it. Though I haven't touched any of my air brushes in a very long time. :p
Thinking about camo done up like the Tiger Stripes used in Vietnam by SF in earth tones.
Adams Arms makes a good rifles, though my friend did put one of the uppers onto a select fire POF lower and it hiccuped regularly. Same lower did it with a 9 mm upper on it and he thought it might have been the buffer causing it.
I want to throw the Rugers upper onto one of the POF's and run a few mags through it and see how it does.
From what I understand you can put 100 rounds through it and pop the top, put the carrier and bolt in your hand and it wont burn you.... gonna try it once I get it zeroed in...
Still haven't had a chance to shoot the damn thing with trying to get things finished elsewhere. blehhh

Hell AA is trying to sue Sig for infringement. Heh, good luck with that, Sig has been running it's piston design for more years than Adams has been around, let alone claiming Sig's design.

So, I know you posted about this rifle 50 something weeks ago, but, how does she shoot? Did you get the nikon .223? How is it if you did get it. I was thinking of getting one. Nice rifle by the way.
