What are we looking at? And where?

This is my AO

This was my AO in Africa on the Ivory Coast it is a market that deals in illeagal guns. We had an OP set up for 3 days waiting on a Militia Leader to come in and buy ammo. Sorry I didn't describe it better.

How did it work out?

Did you get him?

Yeah we got him he went down pretty easy went into flex cuffs no problem. He was actually a very well spoken and polite hightly educated man taught by Americans in the missions and now hunting them for his boss. Sometimes you have to believe no good deed goes unpunished right.?

Where can you operate?

Which countries? I know little about the Foreign Legion except fictionalized stuff from various Hollywood movies, and all of them quite old.

Mostly

Most of Africa has either Legion or French Army stationed in it most of the heavy operations are going in in Somalia and in the Irovy Coast. Djibouti has a ton of opeartors, alot of fighting there right now. That is most likely my next deployment.

It's crazy isn't it?

We teach them, show them and they try to use those tactics to kill us.

That is why, pkato,

when I conducted any sort of tactical training for Iraqi Police, I taught them basic training level, "Just enough to make you feel tough", type of classes. They try to dismount a vehicle disabled by us after attacking us? Well, they'll all try to exit on the opposite side of the incoming fire, taking fucking forever to get out, all the while taking rounds from 7.62 and .50 that will chew up their vehicles along with them. Teach them cornering techniques? Sure, I'll teach them to pie a corner, but I make sure to get them to focus on what is right around the corner instead of looking out away from the building as they move around. They're so goddamned dumb and lazy that Delta could come in and exhaust themselves by teaching the latest in tactics, you put the IPs on a ten minute smoke break, and they've forgotten everything.

"I have always been a soldier. I have known no other life. The calling of arms, I have followed from boyhood. I have never sought another." From The Virtues of War, by Steven Pressfield.
