Oklahoma is OK! Thanks to Lyle H

Oklahoma is OK! Thanks to Lyle H

Oklahoma joins Arizona, Texas, Montana and Utah. More states coming. Strong states rights over- ruling Fed edicts. States are Sovereign and it is there right to pass laws contrary to Fed law. Issues: gun control, immigration law enforcement, language. The South is rising up again, but this time for good issues. These states say screw Obama, Pelosi, Mayor Daly, the ACLU, Liberals, Hard Core Democrats, D.C. period, etc. Read on.

Subject: ARE THEM-THERE OKLAHOMANS SMART OR WHAT?

OKLAHOMA MAY JUST BE THE PLACE TO LIVE!

An update from Oklahoma :

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...! HB 1330

Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language. They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English. Really simple.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.

This is great!

A great example to the other 49 states!

Here's how you can be your own investigative journalist:

1. Run a search on www.google.com for information to collaborate or discredit the alleged facts.

I discovered that Snopes.com is named after a family of scoundrels in William Faulkner novels. The popular Web site has been featured in numerous newspapers such as USAToday. The site also provides numerous collaborating sources with links so you can check out its claims for yourself.

Mary Hammel Mikkelson is apparently an alumnus from Harvard University and lives in Agura Hills, CA. Her husband David works fulltime as a programmer for an HMO.

And, the only references to the alleged "Stella" cases were found in, surprise, sites reprinting "The Stella Awards."

2. Find out if the original sender of the email even exists

I searched www.anywho.com and www.switchboard.com, but the Mikkelson's must have unlisted phone numbers (or have returned to the mother ship!).

Undaunted, I went to http://phpwhois.org to find out who owns the www.Snopes.com domain. It's registered by David Mikkelson and owned by San Fernando Valley Folklore Society, 7841 Reseda Blvd., #222, Reseda, CA 91335.

Wanting to be sure the folklore society actually exists, I discovered that it's recognized as a reference source by such schools as Purdue University, University of California Berkeley, University of Memphis, and Western Washington University.

3. Check out www.snopes.com or www.urbanlegends.about.com

Or better yet, forward this to everyone on your email list. But first check out www.jameswatkins.com to make sure I'm not just an urban legend. And, remember, if your mother says she loves you . . . she may not be your mother!

To a point,
I do not believe that any one plotical party has all the right answers.
I vote my faith, my beliefs.
I voted for Ross Perot!,
I believe he had more answers than Bush Sr or Clinton.

Being a smartass is fun for me. I'm like that @ work!!
Their are people in Oklahoma that have their own language.
when I first moved here, I had to learn Okie!! And their sayings.
Example :
youens : means = you and the people with you
usuns : means = me and people with me
urine : means= yours---- like " it is all urine(yours)
fix'n too : means= geting ready to. I'm fix'n to go to town.
European ; means= HAY!!! yerapee'n on ma boots!!!

Their are many other words and phrases used by Red Necks.
They, you would think, fell off the "turnip truck" and think "simple minds'
least I thought so from time to time.
BUT, ( yes here comes the BUT) I have been all over Tulsa, delivering steel parts (my first year living here) to machine shops. I have seen first hand those brakes, presses. punches, drills, and the old buldings that built the 'STUFF' for world war TWO.
GunsLot Members, these rednecks that work their now are the Grand Sons of men and women who worked their in the early 1940's!! Oklahoma has so much rich in history of bulding War Supplies. Some where around here, is a field where the Doolittle Pilots practiced take off's, (didn't say landings!) in a marked section of said field!! This marked section was the size of the Flight Deck of the Carrier, HORNET. Imagin that??????? These Red Necks know their SHIT!!
When a twister hits, they can handle that too, and stand back because someone is gonna spit tabacco!!
Remember Connie Chung?????
She'z the city BITCH that went to OK City, after the Bombing, and made some assinine comment about the rescures. I don't remember what was said, but she was FIRED Commented about tabacco chewing hicks? I don't want to put words in her mouth! Or anything else!! : (
Schuyler would know, he is a learned man.
Lyle
Them damn Red Necks can damn shure run a welder!!!!!! Stick is obsolete!
Two of my Sons-in Laws can weld many different metals. Never been past the 12th grade(damn it) but can read all blue prints.

I hear ya' Lyle,

here's an example, my Grandfather Winn was a Utah hick but he was also a PHD graduate of the University of Indiana (why he went there is unknown to me, have to ask my Mom) in the field of chemistry who did some of the chemistry work on the manhattan project, just another example of a man from simple beginnings making a great contribution, just like the folks you mention. I too am a smartass from time to time and I took no offence from your comments nor should you of mine.

yeah I knew him well, he passed away in 1985 when I was sixteen. Due to the obvious top secret nature of the Manhattan project he didn't know exactly what it was he was working on but he was no fool, when you are working with uranium isotopes it can't be good. One thing that I can tell you is that years later when he found out the 'big picture', he never thought twice about his involvement or the consequences there of.

Greg (pappy) Boington of the bah bah blacksheep coursair squadron fame?....Cool!

I just Googled him now that I am home. Even though I am a youngster, I used to love that show when I was a kid, flying Coursairs in the south pacific, shootin' up the Jap's (not the best plane of WWII, P-38 lightning would be my choice JMO). I always wondered and will have to research, the coursairs were carrier based aircraft (folding wings) but did they really fly them of of FAB's as the T.V. show portrayed?

One of my Uncles, my mothers oldest Brother, was talking about one of the South Sea Islands. I think, talogi? I would have to ask one of my sons-in laws the name of the Island. (Uncle William Dodds, was an aircraft mechnic). I asked, (just being a smart ass) but not being a smart ass, if he ever met Greg Boington? Well, he told a story about Boington being shot down. Uncle Bill was in the boat, that went to pick up suvivors, if there were any. They pulled two aveaitors from the water. One was a Marine, the other was a Jap! On the way back to shore, the Jap reached inside his jacket, shirt, or clothing of some kind and pulled and pointed a pistol at Boington, pulling the trigger!!!! Bill, my uncle, informed us that the pistol misfired! And the Jap never made it back to land!!! The Jap. was dispatched Post Haste by a damn good, Leathal American beating!!! One that would put a Marine in Prison for life now days!!
This writing is as accurate as I can remember.

All former Marines, know who Lewis (Chesty) Puller is. On the Island of Pelilue, Puller was my Dads C,O. I have read some about the fight. I had a viedo of some of the fighting done on the Island. I also have in my possesion a Book called" The Old Breed. It tells about the First Marine Corp. Division's travles douring the Pacific Theater.
I never served, but I am the Son of a Survivor of Pelilue, and carry the name of a fallen Marine.
Dad fought, at Cape Glochester, Pelilue and Okinawa.
