This is from the Westward Expansion Museum at the base of the Arch in St. Louis. Great museum by the way, you should really visit it. The Bison Jerky is excellent.
Hey are you guys watching that series on Discovery, or History... Hate that, always get those channels Nat Geo, History, Discovery, Histint. confused... Anyway the one that's doing America.. The story of us.. Who's watching it..And what are the thoughts.. So far im real impressed..
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
sorry can't help ya tonight. Get what I get from the internet. Don't miss tv a bit. Kids never complain either. Never got them wrapped around the thing.

Those i mentioned are great, but the exception to the rule, which is in many ways responsible for everything thats wrong right now in our Nation.. It's to late to get started on this, or i'll wind up on a soap box.. TV has done a lot of wonderful things, and to this day has great shows..
It also has the moral fabric of ... hmm.. how bout a mix of liberal lawyers, politicians, sex offenders and scum.. Course i might be offending the scum here by comparison..anyway.. my guess is 3 out of 4 are junk..

we have a VHS and and DVD so I can monitor what they watch till I can teach them the full round first,, before crap on TV implants the wrong message.
(Not to be confused),, nor do I raise them in a vacuum. I set them down and let them see some things so I can show them 'how and where' the fake is or the non truth.
They still get their head full of Saturday cartoons at their mothers each weekend aye.

"The history of us" (History channel greg) it is an excellent show, I
encourage my kids to watch it also as it is very educational. With all
of the bullshit "reality shows" nowdays, it is nice to have History and
Discovery to watch.
Change you can truly believe in comes from the barrel of a gun---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ron Paul 2012----Vote the bastards out!---------------------------------
I will argue until my dying day that the only reality shows are sporting events. Every other game show is produced for ratings and as for the people who "vote" with phones, the producers still have the final say in who goes and who stays.

"Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."
(Calvin & Hobbes)
i let my kids watch it for the most part but if they start focusing on the tv too hard when talked to or not doing chores because they were zonin' on the tv they loose the privelage for awhile.
Let me see if i have this, and i bet i do, if while "your" talking to them, they are focused on the TV, "boom" down comes the hammer.. Makes since to me.. That's the way i was raised, if the folks talked we LISTENED..
I still do that today, and Gloria and i both respect each other enough that if one of us is talking the TV gets muted..
Hamp thanks i couldn't remember History or Discovery.. and before i sound to "moralistic" i have to admit on the "TV" issue, we have some junk habits going on in our home as well..
Yes it's on Disc, Nat Geo, History, and Mil Channel most of the time, least after 1800hr.. till then it's straight Fox, and CNN.. (yeah i do, but only during commercials) But we get a bit hmm whats the word "pedestrian" maybe.(wheres our Schuyler when we need him) We've watched more than one "minute to win it", and "apprentice".. luckily weve yet to make an 800 call..
