During the Vietnam War Congress was made up of roughly 2/3rds Veterans. Today's 112th Congress has about 108 out of 535 or about 20%.
Don't know why I am commenting, maybe to make myself look smarter than I really am...
White House instead of that worthless socialist, vote buying race monger sack of donkey shit L.B.J.
We would not have to argue that we actually won the war.
Yeah, I'd like a higher ratio myself. Not that just because a guy (or gal) served makes them better automatically. But the probability of a vet being a plain decent person is much higher.
Good post, BTW, Sam.
top heavy no?
SS is suplemental, not a total retirement package, and the SS system is in the black, people still need to plan for their own future.as for the wages for the congress, this is America, get over it or go get your own,174,000 a year is really not that much money in this economy, yeah it's good but when the poverty line is 54,000 per year and below, that 120,000 just makes it so you don't have alot of things to worry about financially. Now how is it the fellow politicians can tolerate that asshat from NY,.......shit....brain fart....he was found guilty of having 200,000 dollars in his freezer and not fired from congress....dammit,they need to cull their herd,if you know what i mean.
Yeah, he's a piece of work. Always been "questionable". He's the congressman that introduced a bill to reinstate the draft so that he could blame Bush for trying to reinstate the draft just before the election in 2004. And somehow, people still elect this walking piece of dung.
being a thief is tolerated.... Ne....encouraged, to get kicked out you have to send pictures of your 'junk' all over the place.....LOL
