When I lived in Co. we had to have rabbit drives. The critters would eat crops farmers planted. Then a few years later we would have coyote drives, to thin them out.
Ever see a pickup truck full of dead jack rabbits? .50 per head in the 1970's.
Cyotes were once hunted from small aircraft, the door was taken off, man with a 12ga and 00buck, and shoot coyotes from the air. The coyotes had a Bounty of 5.00 per head. this was not liked by the trappers.
