I love my new rifle. I use a Night Force NXS 5-5 x 22 x 56 scope on it and I'm currently using it in competition.

If anyone is interested in the specs, let me know and I'll post them.

Yea, Ryu, post the specs sometimes, I"d be interested. So, your shooting in competition, that's good. I have shot for years, but just this last year I started shooting in competition, IDPA type stuff with handguns. And I loved shooting before, but competeting brings an extra edge to it.

I'm having so much trouble with the site loading pages it's really difficult. I'm going to reboot and see if I can get a better pathway to the server.

Send-it: who makes this, does Colt make it? I googled SPR and there are a few, like armalite, who make rifles they call spr's "speical purpose" but they are nothing like yours.

The 4 SPR rifles my dad owned, well three now, because one of them is mine now. He picked them up some years ago at the Base Armory in San Diego. These were all made by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. They are often called Cranes for short too. The US Army also uses a rifle almost exactly identical to this weapon and I'm not sure but I think the army also uses the Model 12 designation too.
Mine has a vanadium alloy match stainless barrel that is hard chrome lined as well and I fire only the M262 OTM round out of it for extra accuracy and much longer range. These rifles were designed to have an effective range of 550 to 600 meters, but with the special round 800 to 900 meter shots are not difficult.

These are basic specs off the internet. The specs and capabilities of my rifle are about 25 to 50 percent enhanced in some specific instances such as range, MOA accuracy and I have a 22 inch barrel, not an 18 inch barrel. I also get muzzle velocity of about 960 m/s as opposed to the 930 m/s listed. The maximum effective range of my rifle is easy well beyond 900 meters, but I have not shot at targets that far with this weapon yet. I am currently using this rifle in a tournament at our gun club that began today and after the first two rounds I am in second place. I use this rifle in the 5.56mm x 45mm 600 meter range competition, btw .223 remington rifles are not allowed in this competition. there is a separate competition for .223 caliber commercial rifles. I am also competing in a second category with my M110 SASS.

These are the average specs:
