what would have been offensive is if he not bow. in nihon (japan) bowing is not acting subservient in the least. it is proper manners for everyone. to bow in nihon is to show friendship and caring as well as to honor the person you bow too. and of course it would be most improper for the person you bow to not bow back. both people bow to each other neh. he is simply following tradition and custom in nihon. this is not the same thing as bowing to the king of saudi arabia neh. it is different kind of thing altogether.

that a slight bow to each other is traditional and respectful but he went way past that. Maybe I just find fault with Obozo to easy because I think he is distroying this great nation.

America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall. If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!

your friend,

PS the deep bow is in fact proper under the circumstances because he not just bowing to the Emperor Ahkahito, he is in effect bowing to all the people of Nihon. the bow is quite proper under this circumstance.

Little Dragon, we know the custom, and understand, i think the deal is that from our founding fathers on, we have changed protocal on a couple of things... Just like dipping the flag.. Other Nations do, as a sign of respect, but we don't. The same thing with the curtsy (sp!) deal, our first ladys (Usually) don't C. to the queen.. Stuff like that, a small bow is not a deal, but he sorta overdid it. The big thing to me is he did not give the same attention to those at Arlington when he was there for Vets day..remember the pic of him holding his hands, while those around him had thier hands over thier hearts..

ryo know these things about how we have altered the way we do some customary things, demo, it not worth to get in disagreement over something as trivial as this neh. ryo agree with you about the thing on Veterans Day saw that and thought, well he's the President. He's the Commander in Chief, he is also a civilian and is suppose to salute as a civilian with his right hand over his heart.

anyway anyway ryo did answer the post you make where said ryo should not bother to answer. ryo love chatting with friends when can fit in the time neh. and again gomen nasai for getting you in dutch with the wife neh. gomen gomen.

Comander in chief he has the option to salute or hold his hand over his heart but he chose to play thumb war with himself.

lol this has simply got to stop neh. marvin san and quinton san honto need to fix the alert banner we used to get telling you that you had new pm mail, but only you could see it, nobody else could. using posts to tell somebody they have a new pm mail is to ryo just a waste of a post neh.

it so late here now that ryo is having midnight snack a little early. eating home make cream of potato soup with chives and real bacon chop up in and some shedded cheddar cheese on top. it very good. Rashi make this and he use wine and chicken broth and onions and real dairy extra heavy cream and oh yeah, potatoes of course. lol. it make very good hot late night snack on bitter cold night here in north central texas tonight neh.

your friend alway,

LittleDragon.

PS you mention earlier about sending a pm mail to ryo. ryo cannot stay up much longer, about a half hour is about all ryo have left in him. had not so very good day today. one of ryo's lifelong heroes was declared dead today. it very sad and very tragic day for mountaineering lovers.

Actually she was a little upset, but i let her read your post (first making sure no flesh was visable on site) and she was facinated..
The deal with Arlington was a huge mistake on his part.. he could have saluted, but i think all us vets would have prefered hand over heart...He did nothing.. anyway, I remember being in Koyoto and seeing the respectful bow, do understand your point. and dont worry about responding to this one either my friend, its well past bed time.. Spent to much time on the Zomby thing, and wondering why...
