Take a look at how these were made... remember this is before CAD CAM.. and these were formed on what i think is called an english wheel (bends metal) and construction is pure artistry.. Sorta wonder if they can even do it today.. I know one way they tell the age of chains is if the links were individually forged or welded.. Those old boys had skill..

I just watched that NASCAR dvd last night that had the history and they showed some of the super shops and one scene showed them forming the panels on a wheel. I figured all of their stuff would be stamped. I thought only the custom rod shops had this kind of craftsmen these days.

a lot of chopper guys have used the english wheel,they are good for shooting blood out of the tip of your fingers if you so happen to get a finger involved in the process of shaping metal on one.
