Proud New AK 47 Owner!

My son Mathew has been great about doing his chores and assisting with his younger siblings around the house.He brought home a real good report card so I had to show him how proud I was.He is now the owner of this Romanian AK 47 chambered in .223/5.56x45mm with scope and 4 mags.He has to buy his own ammo though!

The AK 47 is a damn fine weapon, all arguments set aside.

Grease, I didn't realize that you could get one chambered in .223, I guess that I don't get around enough....LOL

Cool that is ... I was given my first rifle when i was about Mat's age, little stevens 22 single shot.. I remember how proud i was, can't imagine how excited he is.. Great.... and greasy the boy looks just like you..

this is actually

his 5th rifle.I started him at 5 yrs old with a Daisy Red Ryder then a yr later he got a Stevens Model 15B single shot .22 then a yr later he got a custom built Stevens Model 15B with peep sights and a camo paint job.Christmas 2008 he got a Mossberg bolt action tube feed .22 rifle that he uses for Jr Rifle League competition.He has done very well with whatever rifle he has in his hands and he runs the AK just fine so I figured it was time to step up into a center fire...
