Believe me Sam we all understand.. had enough of that worry thing to last for the next decade, and in the middle of it went thru a deal that could have been melanoma.. What Bob said about "borrowing worry" is right but again we understand.. talk about good stuff
We have a 60th anniversary party coming up for my only living aunt and uncle.. So Gloria had to find the right dress today...Trip to the mall in Prescott... your buddy Greg spent 4 hrs in gun shops... Guys i thought about all of you...telling ya i had one of the better days ive had for months.. Being free of the worry thing... and looking at guns is a damn fine way to spend a sunday....
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
yeah i hate worrying, but i cant help it when i have enough sugar and caffeine in me lol, havent been to a gun store in weeks but ive been looking online at stoeger shotguns, i like em a lot.
I'm just another damn yankee with a loaded gun looking for some fun!
I usually get to bed after 1 PM, sometimes after 2 PM. I get up maybe at 9 AM, but sometimes, like today, at 11 AM. I'm retired - fuck it!
Do you get your test results tomorrow?
I have a doctor's appt. the 20th, a regular thing every 3 months for my diabetes. This time, though, I'm going to have to talk to him about my emphysema. It gets worse all the time. Very much exertion has me fighting for breath these days. Sometimes just a little exertion. Maybe 3 packs a day for many decades may be catching up to me. Oh well, anything I brought on myself I guess I can't bitch too much about. I probably will bitch, being me, but I guess I shouldn't.

Im telling you guys the gospel truth when i said i was thinking about ya all.. Both the stores i went to had a lot of used stuff that i for one sorta prefer.. So depending on what it was i would think ..so and so should be here.. One store had about 30 glock holsters in black basket weave (LE trade ins obviously) these were really good Bianchi rigs and matching mag holders.. Then i saw a couple of matched Ruger Vaqueros, and thought about CW..ecaman and i both like revolvers and man did i look at some nice ones today.. Bob i saw a Ruger security six that was an Army "trials" piece.. came with paper work etc.. This was just a typical security six "BUT" it was parkerized, and had lanyard ring and Army stamped on it... Story is it was one of a lot that was sent to aberdeen for testing, and not purchased by the Army.. To expensive for me at 459..but considering how rare it is... im thinking a good buy.. I could talk about this all night, but what i came closest to buying was a Nagant 7.62 revolver.. in mint condition with korean markings on it... Also saw 1911 in 9mm that i fell in love with, but to much money.. Wish you guys could have been there.. Only thing i got was another Bianchi rig "the judge" LE K model stuff.. and a canvas all purpose carrier (Israel mil surp) that has belt hooks..

Sorta funny had rock island marked on the slide, but the tag said armscorp.. The shop owner, said Rock Island was now owned by armscorp.. which is a Phillipines company.. Never ownd a Rock Island piece, but sure have seen them around forever..anyway it was 439.. and like the ruger more than i can afford right now, but agree the Ruger was to high, but boy it looked good in parker and lanyard. The 1911.. was a quaility piece.. sorta felt like a series 70.. (sight size etc) but it was in a dark parkerized color i liked, and locked up great.. smoth wood grips, and overall one of the best 1911's ive felt for awile.. and ive been looking for a 9/1911 for some time.. The other one (and this one may come home next week) is the Nagant 7.62... you ever have one.. This piece looked like it was just manufactured.. I dont believe it had ever had a round thru it.. 189.. Sam gave me a lead on another victory it's a 38 but not a "special"..and i dont buy anything that sits on a shelf either..

I have no experience with a Rock Island Arms 1911, or Armscorp either. Armscorp has been around for some time. They once (maybe even now) made a revolver copied after the Colt Diamondback .38 Special. Looked nice, but I never fired one. By the way, wasn't that the D-frame Colt - Detective Special, Agent, Diamondback, etc.?

The diamondback, det spl, and also the police positive are all built on what they call thier D frame. The good thing about them is that the det spl is a 6 shot compared to the J frames 5.. Never owned a diamond back, but do have a det. spl that i got at a great price about 8 years ago. I guess we should hold on to our Colts since they dont make them anymore..
Ever have any experiance with the Nagant revolver.. im really looking at this piece..has a great feel, locks up tight, and i really do think its unfired.. wood round butt grip, lanyard, 189..

I have no experience with the Nagant revolver. I've always thought they were weird, the way the cylinder goes forward to lock up with the barrel. Where do you find ammo for it?
Answer me tomorrow. I need to get to bed. Talk to you then.

$459 for a Security Six is 'way out of line. I'm not interested in "one of a kind" stuff, I just want stuff to shoot.
How much was the 9mm 1911?
