Range Time - 1911 Joy

Range Time - 1911 Joy

My Springfield 1911. This is 100 rounds of .45 ACP. With just a few exceptions (I was shooting left handed for a couple of 'em), this was dead on. I love this pistol!

good shooting

Curious as to what distance and what ammo. My 1911 .45 seems to put a lot bigger holes but may be what it is mounted to or distance which is why I am curious. I can't shoot left handed very good yet.

15 yds.
The holes my look smaller due to the blurriness of the pic. I must be getting old, I really "geezered" this one up. (lol, little playful jab at you, Greg)
The funny thing is I'm left handed. And I always used to shoot left handed. Then I found out I'm right eye dominant. So I trained myself to shoot right handed. Now I have problems shooting left handed. It feels more comfortable to me. But I find I aim with the right eye even when I line up with the left.

The ammo was Remington UMC mega pack cheap ass range ammo.

lol! Dremel and jeweler's rouge. Good stuff. OR, don't buy that shit! I'm sure that stuff would booger up mine as well. That's why I avoid it. It's not cheap enough to make it worth it.

Yeah, I did see problems in my Dad's CZ75 with some CCI Blazer. They are aluminum cases, but I think the issue was that the case was rough textured and it seemed to cause issues with the feeding.
Same stuff, different day. Coming back from vacation, so I've been easing myself back into work. But I have to post from work right now. My home router crapped out and no internet for me. I should have a new router Tuesday though.

Red Beans & Rice with some andouille sausage sounds wonderful. If not, cheat and throw some salt pork or even bacon in there. lol

Enjoy. Talk to you later.

ha ha.. great were both on and your "easing myself back into work".. I don't even know what the thread is but since it's sorta "chingr'd" up already (SW get "cingr'd") i'm not to worried.. Daisy wants sausage with his red beans.. Having "Nathans" and sauerkraut tonight.. go wife go..

Daisy how long before you get that slide back.. and is that related to the magazine lips or do you have a second issue going on.. prol'y that dry thing you do.. hope that slide doesn't come back with a note "try oil" ..

Glad we have Saint on board, least we know some of the TX boys made it thru last night.. That OK deal is sad, and guess besides 160 Tornadoes.. WOW.. They had six lives lost, and an equal number in the hospital in Amarillo.. Don't know whats going on today, been working to get the house ready to show..

A-OK. No storms to speak of on the homefront. Got some welcome rain, that's about it. Back in NM for the week, almost pleasant weather here. (kinda overcast and gusty). Arrogant asshole present and accounted for.

Sounds good. We need to do it some time. Maybe some time I'll make a trip your way and we can use your home range. Or next time I head to the lease we could meet up some where near to both of us.

Hadn't yet. So far it just got cloudy and humid. Ground is still soggy from before, but I'll take whatever rains we can get since this last summer showed what a bitch Mother nature can be. :)

Amarillo is getting some rain but to the north Dumas got 3-4 foot of hail. I posted a video of it earlier. Pictures that have shown look like snow even a full size truck buried to almost the hood in hail.
