it is shit! Try the Federal or Remington cheap stuff over tha Winchester. I know all guns are different, but my XD 40 shot best using 165 gr. ammo. Good shooting! So......was she good?

ok

first off....when i went to the range i bought a box of Winchester so i would " get a discount on the range time" i fought with that shitfor the first. 2.5 targets JAMMING UP!!!I started to realize that i got the gun so cheap for a reason...bUT tHEN....I took out the Reminton 180 grain hollow points and my shit eating grin came backThis gun shoots great.....It still has more recoil than my Taurus 24/7 .45, but im not complaining. My eyes started bugging out after awhile...lol...so i just started rapid firing like a mad man!!!!but for the most part i kept the bullets on the target

well now you know

what ammo not to buy, were you having trouble picking up your sights? i'm just saying because you said you need glasses,my sights on my BHP almost dissapear on me once in a while, never throw away ammo, you can always flip it out the window if someone is tailgating you and bust out their windshield, that's just good clean fun.

One of the modern day medical miracles is the cataract removal/new lens implant surgery. I had one done in 1992, after 9 years of waiting....Piece of cake, and worked flawlessly. Fixin to get ready for the other one soon. So, when I'm a REALLY old fart, I will have great vision and still be able to see the hot chick pics on GUNSLOT.

got elected, that's why ammo has been hard to find and gun prices have hit the ceiling. When a Republican wins in 2012 you won't see that happen. Only when gun hating liberals come to power.

you did ask for it...although I think Runaway went easy on you, no response at all, but I think you will get his tomorrow!!! Anyway, you shot the new gun, got a good feel for it and what ammo it likes and had fun at the range...what more could you ask for? (well...beer and a lady), but that goes without saying...

I went for a few weeks not needing glasses for anything but reading, I could even see the front sight on my rifles. My eyesight has deteriorated since then but the Dr told me it would happen and to expect a second round of cataract removal.
The shock of being able to see again was unbelievable and damn well worth the trouble. I'm looking forward to the next treatment.

Ebear Winchester ammo

What troubles wre you getting for the ammo? My main problem with it is they are using shit gunpowder and even worse primers! I bought a 100 rd value pack from Wally World a couple months ago and had a ton of problems with if in my Glocks. Out of the box of 100 I had 15 rds that the primers wouldn't ignite, and about 20 rds that had bad/not enough powder! I talked to some people about it and learned that Winchester sold there name to some foreign ammo maker about a year ago, and it's just been down hill since then. Luckily their upper end ammo(self defense) is still good! I'd just stick with the Federal from Wally world if I were you, I think it's about 14 bucks for the .40! Oh yeah, you can also blame the trigger.....XD trigger feels kinda spongy to me!J/K

when I go and have a hard time getting through the isles with people playing with each other's guns.
I need an express lane to gun barrels, Antique Colt Autos, Military surplus revolvers and ammo.
Pisses me off when some 378 pound camo dude with his 400 pound dudette and their snotty kids block the rows semi-permanently.

Then again, my Glocks haven't had any problems with anything except a couple failures to chamber with some Cor-bon JHP. I would go insane if I had a 100 rd box and 35 didn't work right. Oh well, I reload. Hell, I still have thousands of .40 casings from when I had a Glock 22 and 23. Never know, might come in handy one day.

Winchester Ammo

Winchester Ammo, Have fired several thousand rounds of Winchester white box, 9mm 115gr. ball. No problems at all. Fired out of taurus PT-111, and 2 Glock 9X19.
My Supervisor had problems with his Glock-19. The armorer, cleaned outside of the bbl, it had a buildup of carbon, and fowling the slide. He took dish scrubber that will not mar the bbl. or slide. I checked my weapon and found the same starting to build up on mine. I scraped most off with my fingernail.
We train with Winchester white box 115 ball, and quilify with, Remington 124gr, Golden Saber
(+P). Hp.
Look clostly for carbon fowleling, don't take much.
Then like you say, maby your weapon don't lik'um.
Lyle
Just read yer last post. Check fir internal foweling, clean head space and chamber, for carbon deposites.
