had to do that to my big truck one night ....it and rain-x got me home
The interior door handles (F250) broke around 125K.. electric window stopped electrolysing.. This of course was the only way to get out ..wind down windows, reach out unlock door.. Lucky for me it failed while down.. SO .. Found a plastic table top made for a kids table..
Duck taping the new "window" in place was no big deal.. What was cool was cutting three horizontal slits each @ 2" wide and 6-8" long into the plastic so i could see..Then of course i had to come up with a way to reach thru to unlock the door from the inside.. So i cut a square in the bottom back part of my new hell for stout genuine ford plastic window, leaving the forward part scored so i could fold it open..
Pulling up next to any Prius, or similar little cap and trade inspired car with a 1" exhaust pipe (that you cant hear) in my "red" with smoke belching, and the normally loud diesel even louder cause of all the holes in the exhaust system is a trip to start with.. When i would push the little folding square out and reach thru to open the door.. I really got the "white trash" look.. Sorta hated to get it fixed.. Still have the "window" in the back of the cab..
all my trucks have it applied year round, plus saves money on replacing wipers..just dont put it on your mirrors or you'll be sorry
When I was stationed in Japan, I had a little van I drove around in. Made by Daihatsu. I was so close to the windshield I could reach out and flip the wipers back and forth. I know because I had to one night for about 15 miles in pouring rain. I got back to the boat though!!!
i rode one when i was in japan too, the engine was underneath the middle seat lol.
raffy, Oh shit you are right!! You do know. Mine was a two cylinder two stroke engine. Had just enough power to carry four guys and ten cases of beer!
but it was made by mitsubishi LOL i remember riding that in the streets of akihabara, tokyo in the wet market hahaha.
I didn't know you had gone to Japan (or I forgot) very cool. My van had rubber u-joints on the axles, I would rev it up and dump the clutch so I carried spares in the glove box. I had beach towels for curtains carpeted floor, and it was just big enough for me to sleep from corner to corner. I had the hottest Kenwood Supertuner III stereo when Styx and Supertramp first came out!
id like to comeback actually haha, you ever had their beer?
I was there for two years. If they made it I had it. Kirin Sapporo, Asahi and everything else.
(engine cover) was right in the middle and it was a "forward steer", the driver sat forward of the steering axle.....squirrlley mother fuckers to be sure, made by Mitsubishi, I worked for the Chevy/Mitsubishi dealer in the 90's.
it taste and feels just like guinness
Hamp, driving one in the rain was a whole new ball game! A girlfriend of mine had the same thing in a truck. If I didn't want her to leave I would pick up the whole ass end and side step her a 180
