Remington Model 887 Nitro Mag Tac (suggested retail $498.00)

The most durable shotgun on the planet. Born of the gunmaking expertise that brought you the best-selling, most trusted shotgun of all time, the Model 870, the Model 887 Nitro Mag is an armor-clad warrior here to carry the torch of our great pump-gun legacy through the most extreme conditions on earth. And the sleek receiver design, awesome balance and natural pointing characteristics spell trouble for any bird within reach of its 12-gauge 3 1/2" Super Magnum capability. The extremely rugged synthetic stock and fore-end are ergonomically contoured to offer a positive grip and comfortable handling. Swivel studs are built-in.

I like it too. I was thinking of putting my 1200 Winnie Defender on the Gun Auction.

Versamax

I personally like it. It's a great concept and I've heard wonderful things about them, but unfortunatley I haven't shot one. I think they had a recall on the last year for some issue or another... firing pin maybe, but they got that worked out. I'd like to handle one.

887 and Versamax

LBC, yeah, that's the great thing about a pump gun especially the 870. They take anything without a hitch. A lot cheaper to. The Versamax is about $1400-$1600. That's pretty rough, but I would love to have one. I like the concept of having an autoloader that can adjust itself to the load.
I know you can't really compare a pump to an auto-loader, but if you use a shotgun for bird as well as deer/turkey/human then an auto-loader can fill all, but the pump can't.
